This beer is a tribute to two great Belgian breweries. It's an amber quadrupel brewed with loads of candi sugar and fermented with yeast from Westvleteren and De Dolle Brouwers.

Pours clear copper brown with a low thin head. Aroma is dark fruit and spice and zest. Flavor has dark fruit, berries, alcohol is not buried. All in all good but for me I was a bit disappointed - Mikkeller has made me come to expect more.

Bottle from SL, courtesy bfeld. The pour was deep caramel-orange-brownish, nice off-white colored head, dense spotty lacing all the way down. The aroma was beery, rather than Belgian Strong Ale-like, reminded me of the barley type smell I picked up in Westvleteren 12 the first time, yet I didn't even know this was a Quad when drinking. Also in the aroma was chocolate, caramel, fruits. The flavor was caramel, chocolate, brown sugar, some dark fruits (grapes discernable), honey, and some spice, perhaps coriander. Mouthfeel started slightly acidic at low temps, but turn to more of the usual, malty sticky standard with warmer temperatures. Good stuff, not a standout within style, especially at these prices.

A huge thanks to sk8viking for this beer. It pours a dark orange with a huge head. Both the aroma and flavor have lots of fruit. Complex, but I definitely tasted and smelled plums. It had the candy sweetness you normally see in a quad

Hazy dark orange appearance, topped with a huge white head. Strong yeasty and fruity aroma of sweet oranges, almond, white bread, black cherries and alcohol. Full and warming flavour of oranges, spices, apricot and apple-skins. Long semi-sweet orangey and peppery final, hints of cherries and banana. Good stuff.

Poured a hazy orange brown color with a large, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, apricots, raisins, citrus fruits, green apple, with light spices, lemon, and some honey as well. Taste of tart citrus, some sweet caramel malts, strawberries, green apples, anise, with strong alcohol, reminiscent of tequila, with a heavily carbonated mouthfeel.
