Mickeys is not the worst beer ever however, it needs to be enjoyed ice cold. I am also disappointed that the wide mouth 40 bottles were discontinued. I would reccomend this beer (or malt liquor) to anyone that plans on drinking too much and wants to save a little chump change. This is one of the better 40's a good alternative would be the schlitz red bull 40 (NOT the blue bull). And the hand grenade bottles are pretty cool as well. The pure novelty of the (drinking) vessel makes this a little more bareable.

Pours clear yellow with a thick ivory head. Aroma offers crisp malt - that's it. Hey, I wasn't expecting much. Flavor provides fresh malt with a fruity hint. Texture yields fair body and just enough fizz for beer. Well, had to try it.

This beer was my first experience with a skunky beer. It was a darker yellow than most pale lagers. Back then is was labeled as a malt liquor. It's was pretty good once you got past the skunky smell.

Picked-up this big can at the Area 51 Alien Center on our way to Death Valley. Pours a slight golden colour with a big frothy white head, pretty good retention with lots of foamy lace. Aromas are alright at first with grain and some corn. Then, the adjunct come out. Typical wet mouthfeel. Taste of corn, light malts, adjuncts and alcohol. Not as bad as what I recall from the bottle, many years ago. A decent light malt liquor, but not fine.

pours a fizzy white head and is a clear pale golden yellow color with no lacing. The aroma is malts and alcohol, corn, metallic flavors and over all is ver bland. It does have some other adjunts and skunky flavor though. The taste is pretty much the same, bready malts and cardboard staleness, corn and off flavors all around, and is really skunky. The mouthfeel is thin bodied, medium carbonation and grainy and chewy and ends bland. Very cheap beer but we have more then enough of these so why continue to make it.

Okay, the bottle was interesting, but the contents was not. Although at 5.6%, is it REALLY a malt liquor. I'll not be trying this stuff again, a sweet phenolic beer I can do without.

This is a liquid headache. This is that malt liquor cheap ass beer that you would find in...say... a colt 45 or that ilk. Smells bad, tastes bad and ends up very bad.

I picked this up because this is the only malt liquor that is sold in 6 packs in my area. I wasn't in the mood for a 40 oz. This malt liquor is probably the most "beer like" tasting brew around. It does not have the over powering corn taste to it like Olde English or Colt 45. It also retains its flavor no matter how long you drink it unlike Steel Reserve. It is not a hangover or headache inducer and it is slightly cheaper than other brands for a 6 pack so that is why I gave it a 7 overall.

definitely the most tolerable of the malt liquors in my region. i can actually chug this one unlike steel reserve. taste like any cheap american lager. taste is decent after your 3rd 40oz.

Not a bad little beer. The color and aroma are nonexistent but it has a superb taste. Also, who doesn't like doing the little puzzles under that cap; although, they should number them from easiest to hardest because after a few Mickey's some are really tough.
