Absoloutely horrible. like Bov said, it was a chemical taste. It almost felt forced upon the beer. It looked the color of cheap and watered down wine cooler. Avoid this beer, unless you are trying it simply for the experience, which, I have to say, was terrible.

The beer pours a weird dark gold/pink color with an inch white head. Head retention and lacing are both low. The aroma is raspberries (more artificial than real raspberries) and candy sugar. Taste is the same as the aroma, raspberry candy/syrup. There's more of an artificial raspberry taste than anything else. Mouthfeel/body is light, and it's not watery. Drinkability is OK, not awful but not exactly good either. Overall it's an average beer, but it's not as good as other fruit beers.

Pours a clear orange goldish color with a fizzy white head. The aromoa is raspberries, coriander and cloves. The taste is spiced heavily with cloves and subtle raspberries. There is a good balance between the raspberries and the strong clove character. The mouthfeel is lighter in body and good carbonation. Great for the summertime. Very drinkable!

pretty much a miss on this one...raspberry starburst and an odd vanilla candy like aroma and flavor. not a lot redeeming here. odd light pink color...feel to prickly for a beer so lacking in real flavor.

childrens cough syrup and dusty raspberry hard candy aromas ... pours a pink brown light colour .. with a good dusky pink head .. has an almost pepto taste with cough drop notes, but is refreshing and light , young girls might like this, but is not that enjoyable ..

I am not so sure this is the beer I tried at the Sharp Edge Creekhouse, but I did have a Celis Raspberry. I had no idea that it was brewed in Michigan. Naturally, I was under the impression that our old friend, Pierre Celis had something to do with this concoction. At any rate, Celis Raspberry registered a zero on the head meter. The hue is a bold bright orange, almost like an Orange Crush soda pop without the fizz (this is the color of raspberries?). The odor of a very sugary bubblegum wafted from the goblet. The beer itself tasted like bubble gum, only without the sugar. The slightly bitter finish was dry, but at the same time, very juicy. I could not taste any raspberries at all. This was more like a liquid candy as opposed to beer.

This had a rather sour aroma and the taste really coincided with that. It was tough to finish the entire bottle. I didn't notice any hint of a fruit flavoring with this. The only nice thing this had going for it was the appearance in the glass, which was a rosy coloring with a thick head and lots of bubble action.

Sample at the Mondiale 2005: Poured a light reddish color ale with a bubbly head with minimal retention. Aroma is totally dominated by fake raspberry cough syrup. The chemical smell is overpowering and gross. Taste is also exclusively dominated by this horrible smell. This is a shame that Celis name is attached to such a foul drink.

quite an horrible colour but a nice foam, chemical raspberry aroma, sweet and sour flavor, quite disgusting
