Absoloutely horrible. like Bov said, it was a chemical taste. It almost felt forced upon the beer. It looked the color of cheap and watered down wine cooler. Avoid this beer, unless you are trying it simply for the experience, which, I have to say, was terrible.

This was a beer I picked up that was rather expensive. Perhaps its hard to get or limited addition. It comes from grand rapids michigan, which is not to far from here actually. It was about 9 US dollars for a 4 pack. It poured more thickly and blackly than any beer that I have tried to date. It was strong roasted coffee, deffinetly a chocolate splash, and some standard oatmeal flavor as well. It was good, and incredibly stout. Like the last reviewer said, it blows Java Stout out of the water. I'd happily recomend this to any coffee and beer fan.

Maybe I just had a bad bottle, but this was sincerely bitter. Yes the flavor was complex, but son of a gun it just didn't do it for me. I could taste some different fruits, some carmel and some molasses, maybe my tastes arent up to snuff yet, but it was not an especially good beer. Try again folks.

Simply the best there is, its smooth, crisp yet soft. Its as black as night. Chocolate and coffee are the main attractions. When poured, you get a awesome white partially tanned head that is deliciously creamy. Theres simply no way to go wrong with this. Especially if you dislike fruity beers, this is the way to go.

Java stout........yeah.......... jaaaaaaava stout........... garbage in a bottle. It tasted like coffee with a disgusting aftertaste. I wont even pretend to be pleasent about this one. Do not waste your time. I wish I hadn't.
