Better than the "cherry" beer in the gift set but still not good. At least the chocolate didn't taste like medicine. Like someone else mentioned, this is like a light lager with tootsie rolls in it. Not sure how anyone could drink an entire bottle. At least the 2 glasses in the set are nice since the beer definitely was not.

without a doubt, the best way to describe this beer is a liquified, alcoholic tootsie-roll. That description fits it to a tee. good-ish at first, but by the end of a bottle, i really didn't want to finish.

Bullet shaped bottle, with a twist of cap like something you’d see off of a soda bottle. An aroma of...of....well not chocolate that’s for damn sure. Light grains in the nose and something that reminded me of smelling an empty fruit bucket...plasticy and slighty musty. The color is a reddish/brown with a medium sized 2-finger thick head. Flavor does have some chocolate character to it but it seemed fake, like drinking a YooHoo. Some light caramel notes too. Not something I’d likely try again.

I bought this as part of a gift set, however the two glasses were the only highlights. The chocolate lager poured a dark amber color with a minimal light tan head. The aroma hits you as you open the bottle. The scent of dark cocoa powder, sweet malts, milk chocolate and malted milk balls fills the room and your nose. However the flavor is more like canned chocolate syrup that overpowers the beer. The body was about medium with a creamy/oily texture. The carbonation was light and the finish was long with some bitter notes. Over all I think they should have spent more time on flavor than the odd bottle and fancy packaging. Well at least I got two nice glasses in the gift set.

Sitting there on the shelf, it looked like a shiny little bomb or torpedo. Some sort of missle. Anyway, I picked it up and realized that not only was it a missle but it was a missle with beer inside! After I drove it home, being sure to stay off the main roads- i entered in through the bedroom window and gently lowered the torpedo to the floor. I then dismantled it only by the light of the moon, and once successfuly taken apart I imbibed it. Poured a dark, sort of hazey caramel colour with a small moderately creamy beige head. Mouthfeel also is creamy, lightly carbonated and sort of stale. Like old cold hot-chocolate. Sweet, rich, but drinkable- nice buzz along with this brew, but I think I'll pass on getting another.

I had read some good reviews of these 2 celebrate brews. So when I saw a gift pack of both bottles and 2 nice glasses for $8, I thought I'd try it. 1st of all, Clash is right, the bottle is like a little rocket with a screw top hidden underneath. I'll try to post a pic later. Somewhere I read this is supposed to be served at room temp, so here goes. Pours a red brown color. Never seen a beer this red before. Am I drinking the Cherry? No, its the Chocolate. Very small fizzy head that completely disappears in a minute. Like when you pour a soda too fast. Aroma of chocolate and alcohol. Mouth feel is thin. Tastes like water. Small amount of chocolate. Alcohol taste is strong. Barely drinkable as I only finished half the glass. Ok, I'm either stupid or a glutton for punishment...I decided to chill the rest of the bottle and retry it. Definately more drinkable as are most Macros when ice cold. Now I'm getting a bit of sweet malts in the aroma. And a very faint coffee. The taste is mostly the same with less alcohol taste now. At least I can finish the glass.

"Ground control to Major Tom, what is that tiny rocket we see orbiting the earth, is it a tiny martian vessel? Or some kind of mini Russian spy satellite?......"Major Tom to Ground Control, negative, its a Michelob Chocolate bottle, over" An amber apperance with some chocolate and caramel in the aroma. This one is rather hot with the alcohol showing through. This wasn’t the chocolate bomb I imagined as I get more caramel in it. It wasn’t all that bad.

This lager pours a medium brown color from a screw top 24oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is slightly chocolate, malts and sweet. A light to medium bodied spiced lager. Malts are caramel with a touch of chocolate. Hops seem missing. Kind of sweet, with only a very small touch of chocolate, some corn and some more malt. Kind of chocolate sodaish. Not much malt, not much anything really. Pretty spectacularly NEH… Make me long for the vanilla. At least it had some flavor. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

This beer poured a light brownish amber color topped off by a very thin off white head that left little to no lace. Aroma is malty and rich with some bitter coffee and dark chocolate thrown in as well. Mouthfeel was very light bodied, I don't know why with this being a spiced lager I just expected it to be much heavier. The flavor is malty with some semi-sweet and dark chocolate flavors, faint toffee flavors come though more as the beer warms, alcohol was never really prevelant at 8.5%.

Poured a dark ruby color with no carbination and a very small head that left almost no lace at all the flavor was malty with light tones of chocolate and spice throughout mouthfeel was very thin i was not expecting to much from this the best part about this beer is that it came with 2 nice glasses and i cannot believe the twist off top like a pepsi or something
