Brewed with malted barley, wheat, hops, yeast, water, fresh cherries and their juice. Cherry Fruit Beer has a bouquet of fresh cherries. It makes an excellent aperitif in place of dry sherry. Complements carbonnade a la beouf, mussels in white wine, flavourful cheeses.

Enjoyed after a day at the beach w/ scoobs, stew, + his crew (Page is a hotty!) .. . Pours a dark ruby colour with a medium full head, has a real quality lacing factor also .. . Smell is of sweet kids cherry juice and fresh pressed cherries+ dark cherry skins, some cherry brandy too ( The best flavor comparison would actually be a cherry fizz lollipop, the one with that fizzy shit in the middle..) .. .. Loaded with flavour: albeit not that complex, very clean and sweet, still a sweeter juice added lambic but damn enjoyable .. . .. Not for the serious Belgian kriek fan, but fuckin tasty and i enjoyed it... 34° 45′ 54″ S, 70° 17′ 11″ W

Pours into my 25cl tulip glass with a pale pink colored head. The beer is dark cherry color that shows an almost clear, bright red color when held up to the light. This is clearly a cherry beer as the aroma of candied cherries jumps out of my glass without me even trying to smell the beer. A deeper inspection of the aroma yield nothing else but cherry, though perhaps there is a touch of something like play-doh.
The taste is not quite as sweet as the aroma would suggest, but it is definitely sweet. Cherry flavors are clearly the most prominent note here and that very faint play-doh note continues to be just noticeable in the flavor too. I am really having a hard time tasting anything but cherry flavors, this is very one dimensional. Because it is sweet, it definitely has a fuller body to it and there is a tannic character to it (sort of like cherry skins) that seems to boost the mouthfeel as well.
More like a cherry soda than anything, you would never be able to guess that there is a spontaneously fermented beer under here, and that is quite a shame. Not bad, just not really beer.

Poured out a lovely large, puffy, rosy purple head, awesome deep red colour with decent retention and some sticky lacing. Aroma of fresh cherries, very sweet, yeast , a touch of earth?? and spearmint?????. Drink on the colder side as I found taht it lost some of the aroma when on the warm side. Tastes of fresh, sour cherries and yeast - not to complex, with a very dry sour taste. Great carbonation, interesting bitterness that has made my mouth water, a nice sourness that blends nicely with the bitterness.

Deep pure red body with a fluffy light pink cap, this brew looks good but very girly for a fruit beer its perfect. Phenomenal smelling brew the cherry is coming through strong and sweet without being fake, the more I smell the less sweet it is and it becomes more of a sour metallic aroma the malt can be detected but its very mild. Tasty so very tasty I’m drooling between sips, sweet and sour, tons of cherry. This goes down so easy so smooth and very clean it’s not disgustingly sweet like other cherry beers bellview creek is destroyed by this. Must go buy more of this so dam good best fruit beer I’ve ever had.

NorCal tasting Apr 07 - This is the one beer from Melbourn Bros. that I've been missing. Thankfully it showed up at a tasting and it didn't dissapoint. It reminded me of a poor man's New Glarus Belgian Red. Like liquid cherry pie filling, but not nearly as good as NG. Aroma is cherries, strong and unapologetic. Appearance is pink, bubbly with a here today/gone tomorrow head. Flavors is shocking strong with cherry sweetness. Nothing refined like NG, just balls to the wall cherries. Almost reminds me of cherry cough medicine and I think that if I had to drink more than a bottle of this it would get at that point. But with restraint, it's a refreshingly smooth, crisp interesting drink to consume.

I let this age for a year in the cellar. I am not sure if it helped but it certainly did not hurt. Poured a festive cherry read with bright pink head. There was a high degree of carbonation, The aroma was of cherries with a nice malty undertone. The flavor of tart cherry was stronger than the scent. If you enjoy cherries try this as a dessert beer following a meal. Its low alcohol and good amount of carbonation make it extremely drinkable.

355 ml bottle, bought in Frederikshavn, Denmark. A British spontaneously fermented cherry "lambic", hmm? Pours with a beautiful cherry red colour and a large and lasting pink head. Intense and beguiling aroma of sweet and sour cherries. Tastes like, duh ..., beer with cherry juice added, maybe because that’s what it actually is? Fairly sweet, reminds me of Lindemans Kriek, but also with a distinct cherry sourness. Low bitterness. Once you get used to the thought of beers tasting more or less like (first class) cherry sodas, this one (like most kriek lambics) actually taste GOOD! No, I wouldn’t want every beer to taste like this one. But it is a nice change of pace, and certainly worth a try!

Up until this point I have only had one of Melbourn Bros. brew and I was pleasantly surprised when I found this one only just recently at a new packy that is in my area now. The aroma is very nice as well as sweet and of course has strong accents of fresh cherries in the nose and this becomes evident as soon as the bottle is cracked open. The appearance is a nice, foggy, and dark red color with a nice and light-pink head on top that is medium-sized and creamy and remains on top throughout consumption and leaves predominate lacing on the glass. The mouthfeel is light-bodied with some pleasant overtones of sweet fruit complexity with even some pretty good balance given the style and has a palate that is sharp and fresh and is wet-like. The flavor is of deep and sweet, fresh cherries with some very nice tart bite with some nice lambic sourness as well as some sweetness with an aftertaste that is dry and bitter sweet and very fresh tasting and very smooth given the style that consists of sharp tartness. I also would like to add it has some nice funkiness in the aftertaste that I can't quite place but it certainly adds to this beer. Overall, very nice offering here for sure and I would venture to say this product is better than some of Lindeman's brews and is very smooth as well as crisp and dry and definitely a thrist quencher and is not too sweet.

Dark red color. Medium pinkish head. Aroma is very intense cherry. A medium bodied lambic. Cheery flavor is very pronounced but it has a nice sour/tartness that balances well with the fruit sweetness. Despite all the fruit sweetness, it still has a very solid malt backbone. Lots of flavor for a low alcohol beer. Light and refreshing and very, very sweet. It could be considered medicinal and cough medicine-ish by many. Not for everyone, but a nice fruit lambic. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet, yet there is a touch of bitterness.
