from wish list. Sweet funky cheesy aroma of berry-ish fruit. Body is fizzy at first but turns a little flat. Flavor is nice. Very complex...less cheese, more lemony tart in the mouth. Nice sweet-tart finish. Not among their best, but quite enjoyable.

Tasted at the Triple Rock Sour and Barrel Aged Fest on 2/12/2011. This fruit lambic pours a medium reddish color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, cherry, tart and woody. A medium bodied lambic. The malts are fruity, tart and funky. Decent carbonation. The tart, sour, sweet are balanced very nicely. Cantillion is Cantillon. Well balanced, subtle complexities, tart and sweet all blended together is an amazing beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly tart.

I've become a huge fan of Cantillon, although this one is a bit of a letdown. It pours out red with a very thin head. The aroma is old grapes, citrus and farm. The flavour is tart, but weak. Not much of the grapes came through.

Been wanting to try this even before i had a real lambic.. woah, very refreshing, lots of fruit and sour raspberry .. . stinky! off fruit and sour .. . some wine to go with the fruit.. great stuff.. . WL cross off, originally put on 5/22/2006 .

Not the best from this brewery. Poured a ruby color almost no head no lacing. Aroma was of funk stright up barnyard and sourness. Flavor was much the same. refreshing beer but not as good as i wanted it to be.

I was hoping for more, but this was pretty straight forward, simple, and typical, although decent. The pour was ruby red, light haziness, weak initial head, no retention, zero lacing. The aroma was brett, barnyard funk, horseblankets, tart fruits. The flavor followed suit, but wasn't complex and didn't really feature grapes or any one single fruit. Mouthfeel was flat, acidic. Again, not that distinctive, but refreshing for a summer day at the beach.

Dark red hazy colour, almost no foam. Deep and acidic aroma of grapes, tanins, red currant and wood. Wonderfull flavour of blue grapes and cask. Sour aftertaste. Damn good, altough I’m not a wine drinker.

Bottle: Poured a medium red color lambic with a huge bubbly head with average retention. Aroma is sour with some touch of sweetness. Taste is quite a surprise with less acidity then I would have expected from Cantillon with a nice balance between the grapes and the lambic. Carbonation is quite strong and body is quite light. Well balance tart and sweetness with the grapes less dominant then expected. Probably one of the only Cantillon that I wouldn’t mind drinking a whole 750ml by myself on a hot summer day.

Bottled. Rubr brown colour, almost no head. Red currant and sourness in aroma wit hints of strawberries. Dry, lots of red wineish hints and sour fruits.

Bottle. Hazy red with a slim pink head. Sour fruit and the barnyard dominate the nose, but wine is also detectable. Sour taste, grapes, apples, vinegar, tannin, and some woodyness. Medium bodied, dry and mouth puckering. Outstanding.
