As I'd hoped, does for Framboise what the same year Lou Pepe did for Kriek. In short, one of the best, if not the best raspberry beer I've had (though it costs several times as much as New Glarus, it's main rival). beautiful ruby red pour w pink head. quite the gusher (the beer level actually lowered as the head rose for several minutes after a gentle pour). wonderful full raspberry farm aroma. flavor equal measures sour and fruit. near perfect. too steep to get often, but i will revisit if i can.

750 ml corked and capped bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5%. Made with 300 g of raspberries per liter beer. Clear signal red colour, moderate pink head. Intense aroma of raspberries (no surprise). The flavour is very sour with notes of lemons and raspberries, fairly dry and crisp.

Recently, a downtown establishment has brought in several of the Cantillon beers, including the entire Lou Pepe line (Framboise, Kriek, Gueuze)........and I've tried ALL of them. This was a nice ruby red pour, no head, and a tart aroma of raspberries. The flavour was extremely tart to start with a mild sweetness in the finish, before more tartness. A very good product.

2004(label), 2006(cork) vintage courtesy of Bu11zeye: Poured a deep reddish color lambic with a nice white color bubbly head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of raspberry is dominant with some sour notes as well as some barnyard notes and a weird cough syrup-like finish. Taste is dry with some notes of sour raspberry and some limited acidic notes which I appreciated since I usually find the Cantillon lambic a bit too acid. Full body with some great carbonation. I thought this was really good but I good have done without the weird raspberry syrup-like aftertaste.

Bottled@Akkurat. Rubyish red colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is big fruits and red berries along with bigtime sourness. Flavour is sourness, berries and some slight hints of wood. Pleasant.

2002 vintage cloudy reddish colour with almost no foam; robust aroma of raspberries (what a pleasure to smell real fruits in comparison to the chemical experiences offered by too many breweries nowadays !); notes of hay, chesse and vinegar; medium-bodied, low carbonation; strong beautiful and complex acidity; the finish is long, dry and very acidic with more notes of raspberries and hay - what a great lambic !

Milestone beer for me 500 enjoyed with eaglefan. Poured a cherry color with small head no lacing. Aroma was tart tart lemons and raspberries. Flavor was much the same with the typical lambic funk/cheese in there. Good beer.

Vintage 2003. Enjoyed this milestone 1000 beer w/ bfeldman, who was hitting 500 at the same time (woo hoo!). Poured a very pretty cherry red color with a nice initial head, but no lacing. The aroma was of tart lemons, some raspberry. Flavor was all of that and some light cheese, leather, barnyard funk, all that stuff. Mouthfeel was acidic, nice tart punch. Nice stuff. Wow, 1000 beer reviews, a nice night cap too!

12.10.05 2001, 750ml bottle at RLB YEHA-05 Murky, dark pink with fizzy pink head. Aroma had hints of berry, sure there was some nice brett and spicy yeast, and mint - in fact, I noted a distinct aroma of urinal cake. I’m not saying it was bad, that’s just what I smelled. Flavor is much more focused on berries and beer. Dry and rather harsh, sharp eff, sharp acidity. Really reminds of breakfast cereal with those dehydrated berries. I liked it, but it was the kookiest beer of the night for me.
