Shared a bottle with Chopz at Pub Italia. Pours very little head. No lacing. Has a reddish appearance, kind of like kool aid. Aromas are quite yeasty and sour. Flavours are very sour right away, strong tarty and yeasty notes. Good mouthfeel. Average retention. Lively carbonation.

Shared bottle with PaleAleRider and Lilihel at Pub Italia. Best before date stamped on paper around bottle is 07 2019. Pours a cloudy red colour with some pink highlights, a small head and minimal lacing. Sour taste of cherries with very light sweetness (from the sugar), then bitterness and medicinal grass in the finish. More of the medicinal plastic notes in the smell with a little cherry juice. Not your typical sweet Kriek, but probably closer to a real one. Gets smoother, less sharp bitter-chemically with time. Enjoy slowly.

This was really fantastic, right from pouring in the glass, the multifaceted red colour is fantastic! Slight skiff of white head in a wine glass. Smells lightly tart and like sour candies, but also of raspberry air freshener in a not sickly way, but a perfumed beautiful way. It has lots and lots of zest, maybe a touch of sweet apple. Body is clearly a beer though, slightly rye/sourdough like body, light Christmas cake, something dry and cracker like champagne. This beer just doesn't stop exposing deeper flavours and aromas, and they are all fantastic! Not a sour beer, even though its supposed to be a mix of lambic and belgian sour. O well, it just makes these kinds of flavours that much more accessible!

Krieks are beers that can be hit or miss. It all depends on whether the fruit flavours taste natural and complementary, or artificial and cloying. In this case, very natural. A beautiful red coloured beer with tart aromas and flavours. Funkified cherry is always a good choice.

Mar 22, 2009 This bottle of stuff is wrapped in white wrapping paper that has red print on it. Don’t throw away the wrap, cause there is nothing printed on the bottle, cool. Farmy sour cherry aroma when I pop the conventional beer cap. Poured from a big champagne size green bottle, no cork. A reddish colored lavender colored beer and its cloudy from the glop on the bottom. Delicious bona fide lambic flavors, sourness is puckering. After each sip I think I detect some hops in there but it never really develops, stays friendly thru each guzzle. Lambic oh lambic, my friend real lambic; the beer of beers, the history of beers. Sour to the bone and more. Takes me back to the first time I ever had something sour. I have always loved sour as far as I can remember and this is the epitome of sour enjoyment. . Has more real lambic flavors than most fruit lambics. OK, so now I see it is a sour ale, but the label says lambic added. Oh well, tastes like a lambic to me! Finish? What finish? I can’t believe the whole bottle is gone! Balderdash! You better be careful, this stuff gives no hint of alky in there. De Rank Kreik S7L5F5T89O18

Pour was dark murky red with medium head and some lacing. Strong aroma of sour cherries. Flavor was sour, sour cherries with a hit of "horseblanket" (or whatever you call that lambic funk) that puckered my face in the end. I'm still a lambic babe, but this wasn't half bad.

Hazy dark red with a small pink head. Tart cherry aroma, small notes of minerals, spices, wood and earth. Tart and sour flavour of dark cherries, wood and grass. Sour, musty finish.

Red colour, small white head. Sour cherry flavour and aroma. Very dry finish. Hides it’s ABV well. One of the dryest Krieks I have had so far, and the people that were with me all looked amazed at the dryish and sourish flavour...

Reddish brown brew with a light pink head. Cherries that have been sitting in a musty barn on a rainy day with the horses. Very nice balance between the sweet of the cherries and the sourness of the beer.
