A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. This beer has a vocal following. To run out is an unforgivable sin. Malts: Pale Malt; Crystal Malt Hops: Cascades

Had this on tap at the Raleigh Hills location. Clear reddish amber colour. Nose has some initial fresh hoppiness. Slightly grassy character. Lemony and smooth with a citrusy finish.

This ale is pretty good for a plain old ale. Nice copper color with a good head. Well balanced and not too hoppy which explains why it's their top selling beer. Doesn't leave a bitter aftertaste like some of the other lightly hopped beers do.

a simplistic but tasty light copper colored american pale ale. pretty by the book as well, but nice enough. refreshing and flavorful, if light and lacking in complexity.

Nice hoppy Pale ale at 40 IBU's, it has a noticeable cascade hops flavor and smell. Solid alcohol base at 6%, and a rich grainy flavored body on the backend.

Medium copper color, slightly cloudy. Medium head. Aroma is floral hops and a touch of malts. A medium bodied pale ale. Malts are nutty and slightly sweet. Hops are grapefruity and floral. Nicely balanced. Sweet, but with a nice hop bite. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Finish is slightly bitter with a touch of floral hops.

A cloudy colored ale w/ a hoppy flavor. It has a large tan head. Very nice, drinkable beer.

Very nice looking ale , when poured carefully ( this seems to be unfiltered, loads of yeast at the bottom of the bottle)..nice light brownish almost glows small but persistant off white head..nice carbonation. Nice aroma of malts hits my nose fast and stays..its fresh at leat. Taste is very balanced indeed..first there is the sweetness of the malts then the hops appear suddenly to give bitterness..very good. Very good on the palaye smooth . Very drinkable..i could drink quite a few in a sitting.
