Big Jamoke is an American Robust Porter named for the B-25 that Brewmaster Eric Marshall’s grandfather flew in WW II. A blend of five malts from Munich to Chocolate provide a deep mahogany color and aroma of toffee and roasted coffee. On the palate this beer is full-bodied with hints of bittersweet chocolate and toffee... while finishing smooth and dry from the addition of earthy hops. Suggested pairings: Brie or other earthy cheese, ham, barbeque, smoked meats, and any bittersweet chocolate dessert such as espresso flavored lava cake. ABV - 6.8%. IBU - 55.

Big Jamoke is a dandy Porter brewed by the Marshall Brewery in my hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. This surprising brew has a good nose, subtle head, really nice dark color with a great taste that dosen't dissappoint. The ABV is not at all noticeable in the nose and certainly not overwhelming on the palate. No aftertaste in this surprising micro-brewed Porter that I would give as a Christmas gift to anyone who cares as much as I do about a great beer. I'm proud to give a hometown brew a good rating because they earned it. I hope the Marshall Brewing Company's reach hits your retailer soon no matter what state you live in. Enjoy my friends.

The first Oklahoma beer I sampled from Hannah's BABE exchange and I believe I hit the jackpot in round one! This brew was a blend of coffee, chocoate and toffee flavors (all favorites of mine in a porter). Extremely smooth and the color did not let me down in taste. The aftertaste is a bit hoppy but in an amount that blends well with the coffee/chocolate/sweet toffee. The bitterness of the hops finds a way to chase the sweet taste in your mouth. Nice touch! Found out that the beer is named after the brewmaster's grandfather who flew in World War I. Gives me a heartfelt reason to love this brew!

My first taste of Okie beer from the exchange between mwiscount and Hannah! An opaque brown brew with a dark roast coffee and caramel aroma. Rich balance of sweet strong coffee flavor with an underlying persistent bitterness. Very smooth, light carbonation.

Big mahagony-black pour with a thick, creamy rich tan head. Aroma and flavors of roasted malt, chocolate, toffee with a hint of dried fruit and a barely perceptible bit of hops for interest. Rich and bold.

Pours thinner than I'd like but thick enough for I porter I guess. Thin yeast cake left on the bottom of the bottle. I most certainly didn't expect that. Nice head, but it's short lived. Murky black body with a smoked grain and chocolate aroma. Maybe a few hops in there. Mouthfeel is slightly thick for the style. The taste is in no way expected. Bakers chocolate and leather mixed with wood and coconut. The finish is clean and slightly bitter. I am hoarding this.

Bomber from Brett. Big ruby black/brown pour with a massive fluffy tan head that is sustained throughout leaving tons of lacing. Roasted malts with chocolate, brown sugar, a hint of toffee and coffee and slight hops in the nice aroma. Taste is rich for a porter with toasted malts, bittersweet dark chocolate, a touch of molasses and toffee, and a decent hops/coffee-type bitter in the end. Very nice porter indeed - thank you Mr. Cable.
