Nice deep reddish coloring on the beer was it's best aspect - head was very brief, almost an afterthought. Aroma was of muted malt, very difficult to find anything distinctive there. Mouthfeel was round and full. Flavor was what you would expect as a baseline for a red ale - strong malt throughout with some light hopping (could have used more in my opinion). Not bad, not great - was glad to have found this brew and brewpub in the Manhattan Beach area.
