Clear yellow with big white foam head lacing to glass. Aroma is bit sweet with some fruity tones. Taste is like a good strong high alcohol ale, bittersweet aftertaste, dry and long lasting (Velp 201208)

Incredible. Effervescent pour. Citrus and tropical aromas. Topped off with dark bottling yeast (accidentally) makes this beer look like a mai tai. Smell is of yeast spice an pineapple. Taste like a polynesian cocktail. Pineapple and vanilia and spice. Delicious.

Cloudy Straw colored. Lots of bubbles pop out of the bottle on pour. Impressive. A big frothy white head rises robustly and forcefully above. Great hang time with splotches of film and thin ringlet left behind. Sweet, citric, yeasty. Big bite on palate. I enjoyed it.

A very good beer. Hazy yellow, huge white head, and it lasted. Lots of yeast and spice in the aroma, while the flavour was light fruits, yeast, and a bitter finish. Highly drinkable for a 10% beer.

Sampled on 9/9/2010. This Belgian Strong ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 33cl bottle. Lots of suspend stuff in this bottle. Medium sized white foamy head with nice lacing and good retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet with some hops and yeasts. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, lots of apricot and peach flavors. Bright yeasts. The hops are herbal and floral. Nice carbonation. I wonder if this is an older bottle, there is a whole lot of stuff floating around in this beer, but it does not seem to affect the taste any. Hides the alcohol well. Mouthfeel is ful and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

eh. this finished well back in the pack in a recent belgian tasting. just nothing to get excited about. average for a belgian strong at best. typical aroma and muted flavors. i have one more bottle that i'm sitting on because i won't even try 750 by myself.

Typical slightly hazy dull yellish amber beer, clean bright white cap with a thin but total coverage for retention and some spotty lacing. There is an insane amount of sediment that came out of this bottle. Smells faintly like lemon scented bathroom cleaner on the initial smell. Some light malt paves that over now that it is warmer. It does smell too sweet though with an airy, strange citrus to it, some yeast. That's about it. It appears that aroma was left out of the recipie. 10% Where is that 10% alcohol taste? Amazingly there is none. This might be the best job of hiding 10% in the taste that I've had. A bit over sweet citrus, ok yeast, solid malts, mild spice, the usual hard bitterness but it's strength is diminished. Too much citrus. Well balanced. Creamy and very very smooth, foamy in the mouth. Cool, I like. Somewhat of a dry finish with a touch of spice. Man, I drank this waaay to fast - seems to happen with beers that lack interest.

Ok, bought this 11.2 oz brown bottle beer at my local bottle shop for an affordable amount, $3.95, never saw it before. Slightly hazy pale yellow. Good visible sparkling carbonation appears within. Gunk on bottom promotes a hypnotizing swirling show in the glass towards the end of the bottle. Pretty large creamy head even with a gentle pour. Sweet aroma and not alarmingly volatile for a 10% beer. Starts off friendly then evolves to a more strong taste. Fairly strapping alky bite but it’s tempered with a goodly amount of welcomed carbonation on the palate. You’d never think this was 10%. Makes this beer pretty interesting and I don’t like to be bothered with higher alky beers. Goes down fairly easy and is much more agreeable than many of the tuffer beers I’ve tasted. The taste progression is first kind, then alky impact builds and finally it levels off to an agreeable friend. Finish is non-assuming and not appalling for such a strong brew. Impressed with this 10% brew. Perhaps it’s my state of mind today. S6L4T4F3012

A golden honey colored medium to full bodied ale that sneaks up on you. It is deceptively strong in the alcohol content. I had a difficult time detecting a strong aroma except for the strong scent of alcohol. Very warm all around and amde this aa strong beer of choice on a cold winter night. I tasted golden raisins, sugar and alcohol on the palate. Definitely worth seeking out and trying.

Took ages to get the damn cork out, then i finally did, it spewed out all over my carpet and coffee table, drenching a harmless runner....Pours a sunrise dull orange...head is good, has healthy foam pool..Lacing is up to the task...Taste is alright, sweet and mellow, but maybe too mellow- seems to lack any assertiveness or true deep character!..could be very nice if more effervescent or i can see it being better on tap possibly?... all in all: A nice easy beer that would be perfect for a novice or if you are in the mood for a small Belgian beer (that being said, the alcohol is quite well masked!)... good offering but.."seems a bit shallow and pedantic"
