Pours a clear dark amber, almost chestnut, with a thick, fluffy and fine-bubbled pale buff head. Aroma is wimpy but has tempting notes of rye and woody hops. Flavor, fortunately, is stronger than the aroma's promise, rye and bitter hops plus a hint of citrus. Texture is firm if only somewhat fizzy. Not Magic Hat's best, but rye-ght on! Go ahead and get this ticket.

I got this about a year ago in the mixpack and guess that I forgot to review. Maybe I figured I would get a 6-pack of it and review then, as it was THAT good. Since it was seasonal, was soon gone, then forgot about it. But, it could be my favorite magic hat, and comparable to solid 2nd-tier IPAs. On the darker-maltier side, with a good balance of bitter and floral hops. I am looking out for this to try again next time around.

My third try at WOB today. A bright amber colored beer with a big sudsy textured, off white head rising robustly above. There's good hang time on the head. It settlers eventually into a light ringlet/ The profile is rye, spicy on the barley malt base. Light bodied and crisp. Well done.

Light bodied ipa. Decent aromatic hop profile. easy on the palate with some pine and a dry spiciness from the rye. Pleasant, if simple. Definitely refreshing.
