Lucky Bucket Lager is a Pre-Prohibition Style lager with great character and distinct flavor. Dry-hopped and filtered twice, our lager has a light, malty flavor that's easy on the palate. A great go-to session beer for craft beer lovers, and an ideal transitional beer for craft beer beginners.

Quite a decent lager when all is said and done. There was a slight haze to the otherwise clear golden pour. A snow white capped topped it all off, but turn your head and the cap was gone. Earthy hops complement the sour grainy malt aroma while the flavour was cereal and hops.

Pours a golden yellow with a bubbly head that dissipates quickly. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is pleasant. Taste is full bodied for its color with a nice aftertaste. Overall a nice beer.

Amber color with a beige head. A malty caramel aroma. Flavor is malty with some caramel notes. I’m into comparing beers tonight so this is Yuengling like. Overall this is a pretty good beer for a session lager.

This year Nebraska joins the Big Ten and it also gets placed into Kinger's states tried category thanks to Lou. A pre-prohibition style lager which I have always enjoyed (think Brooklyn Lager and you'll know what I mean), this one plays the role rather well. Amber/copper body with a dissipating head and some spotty lacing. Aroma is sweet, fruity and has a pleasant twang....whether intended or not it works and I like it. Snappy and pleasant with a balanced finish. Flavor is malt dominant, yet retains a clean hop profile to keep the balance. This is what lager used to be like in Everytown U.S.A., think about that.

Clear light amber gold pour with a nice but short-lived white head, some lacing. Not overly sweet malt aroma with slight caramel, lightly hopped. Taste is much like the nose, with a nice balance, not thin nor watery. Very nice lager, well-done and very refreshing. Great on a 95 degree day...

A beer of the month club entry for April/May 2011Pours slightly darker amber than your typical lager. Full flavor, but nothing to get too excited about.

Aroma - very hard to pick-up any major aromas. Light malty grain, a little sulfur and a touch of apple juice.
Appearance - solid gold body, clear with sporadic bubbles coming up from the bottle. Head starts out about 3/4" thick, disipates to just a splatch of nothing really.
Taste - flavor is really clean, not much to hang your hat on. Kinda minerally tasting, light grass and a touch of sweet malt
Palate - light bodied, light carbonation...has a seltzer water kinda feel to it
Overall - a really nice standard lager. Not sure where the "pre-prohibition" claim/name comes in to play. No noticeable flaws, easy to drink. Big thanks to pfoxyjohn for sending me this one! -

Pours a surprising pale brown color with perfect clarity and small, airy head. Aroma boasts notes of bread, toffee, and citrus. The flavor is pleasant and clean: brightened by floral character and a faint fruitiness. Light bodied and well carbonated. Not at all watery, satisfying and refreshing. This is one of the best lagers I've sampled.
