A smooth, full-bodied nut brown ale, lightly hopped with a hint of roasted and crystal malts. This ale is dark in color without the heavy taste of porter or stout.

Pours out in a clear brown colour with a low tan coloured head. Strong and clean aroma of nuts, almonds, crackers and roasted malts. Medium-bodied with notes of roasted malts, almonds, caramel and roasted nuts. Roasted aftertaste of almonds, fudge, toasted malts and nut-shells. For what it is, i’s quite tasty.

I was left hanging by this brew. It seemed very empty and missing something. Not enough malt. It seemed as if it was a light brown ale. That cant be right. I tried this at the Yard House among others. I dont think that I would go out of my way for this. Maybe Lost Coast should retool this or maybe its just me.

Slightly better than average brown ale. Smooth and crisp, like the other Lost Coasts that I tried, but nothing extra special. On the lighter side, good for daytime, etc. Sweet honey-sugary, nutty flavor with slight hop aftertaste. Pours dark brown with light carbonation, not too much head. Worth the try, but may go with the competition next time I go try a Brown Ale.

I like colorful labels. And this one is a draw. A deep, semi opaque mahogany colored beer. Small head that dissipates quickly. There is nothing in the aroma or taste that jumps out at me and says a ‘GREAT BEER. Some light malt in the aroma and in the taste. Not much else. What was impressive was the creaminess in the body, I’ve had far better Brown Ales than this one.

This is pretty tasty brown ale. Nice difference from Newcastle Brown, which is on my personal favorites, hoppier than Newcastle. I would buy it again, not necessarily right away.

pretty smooth, on par with Moose drool flavor-wise, but a little lighter in body, more like a Samuel Smith's. A solid effort, but not worth going out of your way for.

Body is brown with red / copper highlights a quarter inch cap floats on top retention was ok. lacing is roapy and slippery. Fairly hoppy aroma with some chocolaty malts. Malts taste a touch sour but its making the brew very refreshing to drink. hops are mild but I’d say a little stronger the your average brown. Watermelon? Mouth feel is light and crisp. Light tasting malty brew with a nice hop presence I can drink a lot of this.

Never tried a brown ale. It had a nutty aroma and was a dark brown. Good mouthfeel with small lacing on glass. For the price this is a good deal. I paid like 2.39 for a 22 ouncer. Good smooth flavor. good beer

Granted, I am not a big fan of brown ales (they tend to be a bit sweet). Nevertheless, for what it is, this is really good. Tastes of toffee, nuts, and chocolate. Nicely balanced.Great head retention. Gorgeous looking: roated brown with a two finger head resting on top. This is a beer I would highly recommend to anyone who likes brown ales. Definately NOT a Newcastle, which is a very good thing.

Pretty good Brown Ale. Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head that diminished quickly. Sweet, sugary notes with a bit of malts, caramel and maybe even some honey. Slightly sour aftertaste. Solid but not great.
