The Black Gams - Our dark Bock beer specialty Dark amber to black with stunning malt character, strong but not too sweet. Excerpts of caramel, and Kaffeeröstaromen, a hint of vanilla. hopped Aromatic, not superficially, supple on the palate, long-lasting body. Slightly fruity and full-bodied. Precious and refined, playful and serious, dominant and reserved, impressive and mysterious - this is the Black GAMS - Bock beer - from the house Loncium. A beer for special occasions! 2011 - European Beer Star - Silver - Dark Bock German Style 2012 - World Beer Challenge - Silver - Portugal - Category - German Style Dark Bock 2012 - Australian International Beer Award - Bronze

330ml bottle from the 2014 International Advent Calendar. Poured an incredible dark ruby, with a gone-in-a-flash minimal beige head. Aroma was a faint malt thing. Mouthfeel smooth but not solid. Still, good enough. Some malt in the flavour, plus dark fruits (raisin). Slightly sweet. Sweetish finish.
