I was surprised at this cream ale actually tasted like cream with a hint of tartaric acid. I also enjoyed the size as I needed something small because I would be driving in about 20 minutes and this was perfect. Also cheap. boobs. Just said that for no reason.

Poured out a clear, golden orange color with no head. It left no lacing, either. It's aroma was that of grains, caramel and an unusual floral presence. Not your typical hoppy floral notes. The taste was not quite horriable with a sweet grains and caramel. A light bodied ale with a dry finish. Hint serve ice cold, it's cheap and takes me back to my collage days.

This was given to me by a friend the other day as his 'craft beer of choice'. Having never heard of it, I eagerly tried it, and unfortunately, this is quite possibly the worst beer I've ever had. I had 3, my friend had 4. His were all described (by him) as 'delicious' while all mine were quite wretched. Stale and grainy, with tons of acidic and metallic notes. very pale looking as well.

Got this one in a variety box for the holiday, had to guess on the price. It was a very light yellow.Plenty of corn taste in this cream ale.An easy drinker in an unusually small portion.I will NOT seek this one out.

What was I thinking when I bought this? The name isn't a selling point. Cream Ales aren't a selling point. God knows what it was and he better tell me soon before I make another mistake like this. The aroma and flavour was dominated by corn and grainy malt. Stay away!

With a very aggressive pour this straw yellow very clear beer produced a bright white fizzy soapy head with decent size. Not a whole lot of retention, but it did leave a scant amount of lacing. It settled to a thin film on top also. Several bubbles rising to the top. The smell was a grassy, grainy, corn type of smell. Very similar to a "macro" only a slight bit sweeter aroma. The flavor was more of the corn adjuncts. Bits of grain. No real bitterness to speak of. Rather tame. Light mouthfeel. Crisp and smooth. Mostly watery and refreshing. Not much left on the palate. Goes down very easy. This beer would be a nice thirst quencher during a hot Summers day. It's slightly better than most macros however I wouldn't go out of my way to pick this up.

Neither the "cream" or the "ale" that I was thinking of... I know this is an old-school brew that I've heard mentioned in the same vein as Schlitz. Pale golden color, lots of carbonation, slight head that doesn't hang around. Aroma of corn and grass - about the same flavor. Unimpressive.

Aroma of sweet corn, and some malt. Mid yellow body not much carbonation or head. Flavor has some sweet grain with a slight metallic hint. Overall its kinda bland, similar to a malt liquor.

Now that Hudepohl-Schoenling has reacquired the brand from Snyder, it's been reformulated to the original recipe and just hit the shelves in the past few days. True to the style, it has more in common with lager than with the big ales that are so popular of late. Very light and clear amber in the glass, nose is subtle, just a hint of fruitiness. Taste is smooth and mild, with an unexpected white-peppery heat at the back of the tongue, which didn't really show up until halfway through the 2nd little bottle. Now that the Little Kings of my youth is back, I'll always have some in the fridge! To those who've had only the crappy Snyder version, give it a try, it's a fine example of the style.

lets see whats up with this... pours a dark golden colour, with a good white foam head, dissapets to a medium pool ... is a smooth brew that doesn't really have any bad qualities more just completely lacking.. corn and blandness are key here .. stakka & skynet - decoy
