Nov. 2019: Shared 750 ml paper wrapped bottle, at the Yule beer tasting of Lilland Bryggerihotell, Tau. Red colour, pink head. Distinct aroma and flavour of cherries and glühwein (gløgg) spices, more sweet than sour. Sampled moderately chilled, not hot.

750 ml corked and caged bottle in a wrapped paper. Poured in the original Liefmans stemmed glass an unfiltered hazy and rich burgundy coloured Fruit Lambic with half a finger beige foamy head that had a minimal retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is sour cherries, flowery, mint, candy, spicy, gingerbread, notes of honey. The flavour is heavy sweety-sourish cherries, candy, fresh herbs, mint, spicy, gingerbread, cloves, cinnamom, notes of wood and honey. The mouthfeel is slight crispy, light syrupy, a bit sticky and surprising, smooth. This medium bodied Fruit Lambic has a long sweety fruity and spicy finish. A surprising and bewitching Kriek from the famous beercity Oudenaarde.

This is a sweeter lambic like the Lindeman’s line, but instead of the red body and pink head of the Lindeman’s, this is a dark, dull brown with only reddish hints and a mostly white head. I actually thought this was a lambic like the Lindeman's stuff to start with, but after reading some of the other comments, I realize it's more of a Flemish brown and feel less guilty about liking it.

Bottle, warmed. Cherry red colour, creamy mediumsized reddish white head. Almond and cherry in aroma. Cherry and "glüwein/glögg/glögi"-sh flavour. Quite sweet, but very nice when warm. A string of alcohol also exists.

Guess what? Its smells like cherries! Guess what again? It tastes like cherries. Seriously though this was very similar to Quelque Chose from Unibroue. Flavor is mainly sweet with some tartness and a little spice. Im not really a fan of fruit beers but I do enjoy these cherry fruit beers alot.

a clear red pour led to a simple halo of large ugly bubbles and no real head at all..dark chocolate cake and cherries dominate the aroma..with hints of sweet spices here and there..almost no carbination..sweet and tart at the same time..with heavy spicing in the background and a real cherry flavor up front...there's some cask wood notes, and some cinnamon sticks...quite good actually..i wish it had more carbination...as of now, i like it better than Quelque Chose, but i havent had that in a long time, so a re-rate of that is in order. Can't rival New Glarus Red though..not even close.

like every beers supposed to be drank hot, I've tried it first cool: bordeaux colour, no head, deep spicy aroma (cinnamon, giner), strong cherry notes, very sweet, slightly oily, long cherry finish - quite unbalanced - hot: still no head but the aroma is more balanced and the cherry stays in the background, the sweetness is no more so evident and it shows notes of alcohol now, long beautiful cherry finish

Nice, interesting flavor. Reminds me of a spiced cherry cordial.

Just had this beer that I got at The Foodery in Philly for $6 something. I've had many other kriek lambics, but this one is different because it is spiced. It seemed to be more of a liquor to me than a beer or lambic, with very little carbonation in the bottle I had.
