Thanks to my neighbor Joey for this beer. IT was good - a tad thin, but a good beer for the winter. IT isn't the best porter but it gets above average marks.

Pours a barely translucent chocolate brown with a nice light tan head. Aroma has notes of roast malt, coffee, caramel and vanilla. Flavor is mainly caramel and vanilla, rather sweet. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and not too fizzy. OK if not outstanding.

Unimpressive. Ruby-brown color, no head, no lacing. Thin texture with imitation vanilla aroma and flavor; barely a hint at roasted malt in either. The vanilla lingers to the finish (not necessarily a good thing) and what roasted malt there should've been was long gone by then.

Dark ruby, light brown foam head. Strong vanilla aroma and also vanillla dominating taste. Quite an interesting beer, like it after all. (Houston 201501)

Pours out a dark brown color with no real head. The aroma is like tobacco which is cool. The mouthfeel is a little thin. The taste is just plain like any normal ale. It's not bad just not special.

pours a pitch black body (ruby highlights) medium sized tan head with decent retention and decent lacing. The aroma is of cocoa and coffee, hint of vanilla, caramel-like sweetness. The taste is roast malt notes, dark chocolate, coffee, touch of vanilla, slight smoke and burnt notes, slight bitterness. Way to much coffee in taste for my liking. The mouth feel is smooth, sticky medium/full body, medium/high carbonation.

Very disappointing aroma...little roast and even less vanilla. A little dusty. Look is ok, nice ruby tinged dark brown color. A little thin on the feel, and a little prickly. The flavor is more vanilla and roast, but slightly artificial. The aroma eventually opens but is the same. Let down.

Purchased at Albertsons in Vegas. Looks like cola with its clean brown colour. The head is fizzy, but stops halfway to create a thick beige coat, but not much lace. The vanilla is super light in this one. Mild chocolate and fruity malts aromas. Wet, almost creamy mouthfeel, but not. Again, a little chocolate in the taste, with just a tad of vanilla in the aftertaste. Goes down well, but laking character. Especially vanilla.

On tap at tailgate party at Ohio State game. Red hued Brown pour, creamy head, nice lacing. Big vanilla upfront both in the aroma and taste, toasted malts, earthy then sweet malts, more vanilla. I liked it, wife loved it: that's a winner in my book.

Pours a dark reddish brown with a small tan head the disappears quickly. As a light vanilla taste. Aroma is not has good as the only other vanilla porter I have tried. But would drink again.
