Legend Oktoberfest lager is our most popular seasonal. This brew is red-orange in color, malty but well balanced with noble type hops. It has 5.4% alcohol by volume and is lagered (aged) to create a smooth drinkability. It is most similar in style to a Vienna lager or a Marzen beer. Judicious use of caramelized malt gives this brew a smooth sweetness and deep orange color. It is hopped with American Tettnang, German Hallertau and Czech Saaz.

I had this beer at a marshmallow roast courtesy of my awesome neighbor Stacy H. This was a pretty standard Octoberfest ... Strong malt backbone, little hops, mostly caramel. Nothing to write home about but a nice beer. The best beer is always free beer.

Translucent ruddy light brown with a centimeter cap that resolves to a fine, dense cover. The initial aroma made no sense to me-- lemon, sugar, and butter? But after a few moments I got coffee, sugary caramel, and maybe a hint of licorice. This beer has a strong caramel flavor, too, one that's a wee bit carbonized. It's a lot like a light flavored Scottish ale, a little grassy, and the flavors linger on the tongue.

This beer looks awesome! Deep orange color, thick tight white head, and always bubbles racing toward the top. The head never seems to want to fade and well, it slowly does….at the end of my beer. Aroma is sweet. Toffee and caramel are first to the nose. A bitter aroma of hops and notes of bread come to play. Flavor is chewy toffee and caramel malt. This nice malt flavor is joined in with a bitter hop bite at the end. I did notice a slight watery feel mid through but it is quickly overtaken with the hops. The hops add and give this brew a nice dry finish Overall, a great brew. Great mouthfeel and an excellent session beer. This one is worth the try.

Bottle: Poured a light brown color lager with a nice big white bubbly head with minimal retention. Aroma of crisp hops with some sweet malt. Taste is dominated at first with sweet caramel malt and finish with a medium bitterness. Very nice and refreshing from a style that I don’t seem to drink much of.
