330 ml bottle, from Det Bette Ølhus, Aalbæk. ABV is 9.0%. Clear deep golden colour, large white head. Strong sweetish aroma of Belgian ale yeast, white kandij sugar syrup and alcohol. The flavour is moderately sweet (but not as sweet as the aroma made me fear) with spicy notes, also white kandij sugar and herbal hops, the alcohol is evident.

Strong beautiful bright amber colored beer, solid alcohol content. Nice carbonated and strong palette, some wood taste far away. Nice bitter aftertaste.

Ah, the Leffe 9. Enjoyed in my Paris hotel room, purchased just up the street at the Monoprix, and damned cheap it was, too. This foamed like a son of a gun was soon as the cork came out, and when it subsided, I was able to pour a clear and rich looking treat, underneath a creamy tan head. Aroma was grand, with spices first and foremost, and only an inkling of the high ABV. Taste was exquisite and delicious, which well matched the super smooth mouthfeel.

The beer has a colour in between amber and gold, and is very clear, with a large foam collar on top. It smells quite malty, mixed with some sweet aroma's like sweet cherry candy. Leffe 9 has a watery texture, quite opposite to what you would expect of a beer with 9%ABV. It tastes the way it smells, with the sweetness most pronounced over the malt and a bit of alcohol. The aftertaste is quite 'flat' and rather occidant. This beer doesn't live up to what you would expect of a belgian strong ale. Probably because it was brewed for the masses (at least in Belgium) who desire strong beers but sweet scents and flavors. Tip: A 'normal' Leffe blond would be more worth it's money :).

Bottle: Poured a medium amber color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of spicy yeast with some peach flavoured malt and some alcohol. Taste is also dominated by some spicy yeast notes with some nice Belgian malt with some notes of fruit such as peach. Body is a bit thin for the style with too much filtration applied and some alcohol notes are also discernable. Not bad overall for a Inbev products but maybe a bit too much alcohol and sweetness IMHO.

Clear copper coloured, mediumsized beige foamy head. Sour apples, alcohol and some hints of caramel in the aroma. Very pleasant. Flavour is caramel, fruits (especially sour apple), slight yeast and alcohol giving a nice kick in the finish. Pleasant tonguetickling carbonation, and also otherwise nice palate.

pours a very clear golden-amber olour under abig creamy head; aroma of yeast and caoutchouc with some red fruits in the background; a bit oily, sweet with a solid malt body maintained by a high carbonation; sweetish aftertaste with notes of strawberries

Sampled a few weeks ago in Brugge. It is new and all my friends were excited to try. Very nice aroma and poured dark brown but nice looking in the light. Went down very smooth and the flavor was excellent and left a nice taste in the mouth. Got to try.

I found this beer in Brugge. I was told that it was only released to the public a few weeks before my arrival. I was not disappointed. It had a wonderfull aroma and taste of corriander and the head of the beer was thick and stayed throughout the session. lighter than its counterpart Radiuese but enjoyed it more than the blond. I was extremely excited to try the new Leffe and was even more excited when it tasted what it had to offer.
