This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee's renowned FUEL CAFE coffee. Pours a deep, dark color with a beautiful creamy tan head. Coffee aromas dominate the nose, with a background of roasted grain. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice coffee and the full mouth feel from roasted malt barley make this an unforgettable brew. Absolutely fabulous with dessert! Try this one with a chocolaty brownie or a creamy tiramisu, or keep it simple and enjoy with fresh berries and vanilla ice cream. Ideal Serving Temp: 58-60° F

Comes out of the bottle a deep, warm sable with a very thick, fine-bubbled and fairly persistent beige head. Rich aroma is like a fine coffee and has hints of unsweetened chocolate and smoke. Flavor is like a good mocha, but too thin to be first-class - it does not seem to live up to the appetizing aroma. There is just a hint of sweetness. Texture is smooth but rather watery, not like most stouts I have tried. Still, it’s OK.

Shared at Aug KnoxBeerCrew tasting. Black pour, tight tan head, some lacing. Wet cold black coffee aroma dominates, deep toasted malts, hint of molasses, earthy hops. Mouthfeel a bit thin. Cold black coffee flavor to equal the aroma, decently rich, toasted malts, some molasses, earthy hoppiness.

Courtesy of my wife and her trip to Milwaukee... pours deep rich black - black as an Afghan cave - with a slight tan head. Rich texture and mouthfeel without feeling heavy. Roasted malt and coffee in the aroma and flavor are spot-on. Thanks, Darling!

A beer of the of the month club offering for Jan/Feb 2011. Fuel Cafe pours as a dark cola colored brew with a small short lived head. Flavor is slightly sweet with some coffee tones embedded. A nicely flavored beverage, refreshing, nicely representative member of the stout class.

This beer poured black with a dark brown head that disappeared quickly. The aroma is lovely with strong burnt coffee notes. The mouthfeel is quite watery for a stout and the taste is lacking. The only flavors I could pick out were overwhelming burnt coffee and some chocolate. This is a good beer, but a poor example of a stout.

Black pour with an aroma of coffee. Tan colored head with ok lacing. Flavor of bitter coffee and chocolate. Not too bad, but not that great either. Not the best stout I've had.

for the style (this one was the reason i bought the mixer) it was a bit of a letdown. everything from aroma (some coffee and sweet malts) to the body, look, etc...all average. pleasant enough, but not something i'll go back for. i was hoping for more...

From a bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown with a large brown head. Aroma is sweet and caramely. Not really a coffee aroma despite this being a coffee stout. Flavor is light, but very sweet. Not too impressed. It's okay, but nothing to get excited about.

I wanted to take the Guinness experience a step removed. And in Fuel Cafe I was not disappointed. Dark body is everything you'd expect from a stout. A lot of caramel, a hint of coffee. Though the nose is far more subtle than the taste.

Pours with a dark brown body topped by a thick, tan head with good lacing. It’s slightly sweet and herbal...actually reminds me of Iced tea...wieerd. Medium bodied, watery and smooth.
