Poured a medium amber with the aroma of malt and hops quite well balanced. When you pour it the head is impressivly thick and heavy. I found this a very drinkable pale ale. Enough body to have flavor but not so heavy as to be filling

Brewtopia’04. Hazed, foamy, light, and malty aroma. Sweet and soft flower smells. Impossibly lasting head. Mild and malty flavor, somewhat herbal and pithy. Dry-ish.

Bottle: Poured an copper color ale with nice thick white head with good retention. Aroma of bitter hops is clearly distinguishable. Taste is comprised of a nice mix between floral malt and bitter hops. Body is a bit thin for my liking but this still make for a refreshing drink in the summer.

This is pretty good for a PALE ALE but Lake Placid has me confused on this one. The 6 pack carton says 46er IPA, yet when I went to drink the beer the bottle says it's a 46er Pale Ale. Searched their website and don't see anything on a 46er Pale Ale, but trust me that's what the bottles say. So pours a copper color with a moderate off-white head and some lacing. Sweet bitter hoppy bite with some malt balancing it out. This is no IPA though. I did enjoy the beer as a decent Pale Ale.

If you like astringent hops you will like this version of IPA. The hops is THE thing--my untrained palate only detected a slight "burnt" flavor after.
