At the height of the heat in the heart of the summer, we felt the only cure was a raging mouthful of fresh Hops and Malt. Caution: May remove enamel from teeth. Leaning back on the restored Scrollarian vendta tera, she looked pale and gave her guest the prevarian eye. She spoke now only in pernicious circularity. Roundly he gave her the eye right back and she cupped it perspirianly. "Eat it!" he barked. Eyeing the eye, she allowed a rivulet of spittle to fall languid from her lip. "Why?" he asked again, this time repeatedly. "Why, why do you mock me?" Have I not been the idiom to which I am suited? Have I not swerved faithlessly?" A pall fell over them and then it fell over them again. "Again, why?", he asked again. "Again." she repeated with a touch of riparian ennui. "Give me the eye, now!" "Now?" "Now!" "When?" "What?" "Huh?"... On and on it went. What does ia all have to do with beer? Huh!? Who? Thanks for your trust, and as always:Think Globally, Drink Locally!! Say "LAH-GOO-KNEE-TUSS"

625ml bottle
7.5% ABV
The Beerbistro (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
October 14, 2008
The beer poured a translucent orange-brown colur with a light tan head. The aroma was hops, malt, and some citrus tones. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was all hops as the grapefruity tones were very evident on the tongue

Clear amber pour with a thin head that retains and laces well. Pleasant, refreshing and drinkable imperial ipa. It's a little on the sweet side with breaded and caramel malt, lemon, resinous hops, a bit of spice and earthy notes. Medium slick mouthfeel. Don't really taste the 72 ibu.

6-pack from the LCBO. Pours a clean amber colour with a big warm cap, great retention and creamy-foamy lacing. Grassy hop aromas with citrus over caramel malts. Sweet malty taste with lots of herbal notes. This Imperial IPA goes down nicely, but it is a little rich in the middle. Thankfully, the finish is lightly dry and helps this.

This is the first review posted for 2012 !!! This brew is one of the best "grocery store" brands out there. Full flavored, lots of hops and a good helping of ABV. Have a Great 2012

I picked this one up from the Wine Gourmet in Roanoke, VA. This beer is a bit overrated. I LOVE Lagunias but this one fell falt for me. It's not overly hoppy or malty. It's actually kind of watery ... surprising but true. I hate saying that about a favorite brewery. All bones aside, I'd drink it again any day of the week ... it's still better than BMCs.

Rootbeer? Sprite? Bitter but despite IBU 72, seems light. Easy drinking. Simple and flavourfull, bit woody, maybe a light earthy note. slight spice, super subtle. Citrus lurking. Saltwater taffee? Seems a touch burnt, like the most minor thing ever, but its the element that I like the most. Forgettable really

From Firefly. Poured a rocky white head over a body of clear, rich copper. Aroma was pleasingly hopped, and the flavour was satisfyingly hopped and bitter. Full, smooth mouth.

Pours a slightly hazy orange amber with a thick, fine-bubbled, pale orange-tan head. Aroma is strongly hoppy and somewhat fruity. Strongly hoppy flavor is a little bitter and has tones of banana and apple as well as a whisper of sweetness that complements the bitterness rather than fighting it. Texture is smooth, edgy and tingly.

A murky orange colored beer. A medium sized frothy textured, white head rises above. The lacing that appears shortly after is a tin film and ringlet. Big, in your face pine hops with peppery notes in the nose. The body is creamy, moderately robust. The flavors are more drawn back a step with the same pine hops, pepper notes and sweet undertone making this a very drinkable quaff.

Bottled@The 1st Vaasa CS/ES beer session (thanks JS). Deep orange colour with small slightly off-white head. Aroma is bigtime pine, fruits, some slight grassyness as well. Flavour is quite much the same. Big time hoppyness, but still in a quite good balance.

Nose has a bit of a floral scent, along with hints of grape fruit and oranges. It has a bit of a bittery bit, but if you got flavor buds like me you say a little bit more bitter is a bit better. But it's really not that bitter. But bitter enough. This beer does have a definite distinction that I just can't really describe. Reminds me of a more mild grass roots by great lakes. Definitely worth a tasting, even funner yet, once you get to know it, try a blind tasting.
