For those mornings when you have to cut right to the chase, this is the one. Sure to blast through just about anything still lingering from the night before, this mouthful of Hops and huge rich Malt has a gaurantee built right into the name! Editor's note: Lagunitas dropped the "Sonoma Farmhouse" from the name of the beer and is now known as just Lagunitas Hop Stoopid Ale.

650 ml bottle, as Lagunitas Hop Stoopid Ale, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8%, OG 1085, IBU 102. Golden colour, large white head. Intense and sweetish aroma of fruity and piney American hops and crystal malts, notes of orange marmalade, pine needles, tropical fruits and grapefruit. The flavour is quite sweet and intensely hoppy, with the same elements as in the aroma. Nearly too much of it all.

I have had this beer many times, but first time reviewing. Pours a clear amber color with a billowy white head that leaves sheets of lacing on the glass. Grapefruit, tropical fruits and sweet malt aromas. Tastes as it smells. Bitter finish. 8 years ago, this was a crazy hop bomb, but since then there are so many hop forward beers, I don't see this as being as "stoopid" as in the past. Goes down like water, nothing like the 8% wallop that this beer packs. On sale this month. Very good price point @ $3.49/bomber. Picked up two of this and 2 other Lagunitas brews.

Hard to believe I haven't reviewed this yet--always a go-to beer when nothing else catches my eye. This is a typical over-hopped, unbalanced beer from Lagunitas and always found at a good price (2 of the best selling points you can find in a beer--cheap hop fix).

This is great by the brandy snifter unless you're planning on going to the dentist first, then I recommend chugging this one. Caramel and chocolate overtones, nice sweetness, gooooood hopflavor.

Holy Smoke - what a beer... I had no idea what I was getting, but - wow! Another score on my brief stop in Las Vegas. Pours clear gold to amber with a moderate fluffy head that laces like a madman. Bold citrus/pine aroma and very well-done. Smooth to a bitter finish with pronounced hops. Flavors of grapefruit - bold grapefruit - and other assorted fruits, perhaps a hint of sweetness in a tangerine-like way. Damn, that was good! Dan near orgasmic.

Fills the glass with a gold/yellow, slightly hazy color. The nose is intense. It it very pungent, and fruity. Primarily piny, then citrus, floral hops. Flavor is the same but a little less intense. I don't like the pine, it's very dominant and reminds me of cat pee.

Mother PussBucket! Good God Y'all what a beer - thank you Suds McDuff for this Ass Kicker. Beautiful clear golden amber pour with a bubbly white head and heavy lacing throughout. Apricots, peaches, grapefruit hops aroma big upfront, with a kiss of honey, some light sweet maltiness and then more hops.... Taste is Ambrosia - Nectar of Ninkasi - fresh peaches and grapefruit hops, big bitter, fruity and light floral, offset nicely by light caramel sweetness and honey. Music: Stupid Blues - Junior Brown: Stoopid Stoopid Stoopid, You're Stoopid All The Time.... HUGE thanks to Suds for this brew - WORTHY!

I picked this beer up last night - I've seen this on the shelf at a number of places a number of times and have always passed up on this offering. I won't anymore. This beer was quite good and smelled like citrus. The flavor was slightly weaker than what I would have expected given the aroma. In any event, I will pick this up again. A fine beer indeed.

Now that was "stoopid" of me, I have has this selection a number of times and never got around to reviewing it. Yet another quality product brought to us by lagunitas -- all 102 IBU, not a beginners beer, but a full flavored knock you unconscious while your watching TV when your just a little bit tired kind of brew. Great loads of hops, bits of citrus around the edges, and fun for all in a bottle for a few bucks.
