A fractional IPA. Have you been none sing for something more primal and less evolved? If so, fire is the element for you. Air, water, and earth are of no use. There is freedom in burning down the house of fixed realities and it confers an undeniable lightness to being.

355 ml bottle, from Coop Extra, Sauda. ABV is 4.6%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of fruity hops (citrus, tropical fruits). Light bodied. Medium dry flavour with piney and grapefruity hops.

Pours clear straw yellow with a thick and frothy snow-white head. Hoppy aroma has a sharp resin overtone and a firm citrus note. Flavor presents fruity and hoppy notes, neither particularly strong but still enjoyable. Finish is hoppy and a little bitter, while lemon comes forth in its wake. Mouthfeel has average body and fizz. Day time, night time - anytime is a good time for beer.

On tap at Magnolia Music Festival in North FL. Was happy to have Lagunitas as the craft beer choice, so tried this over their stronger/standard IPA which I had plenty of times. Very good for a session IPA. Keeps those hoppy and citrus notes while retaining the flavor, but a more watery and lighter version. The seasons have already changed, so most likely waiting until spring/summer for the full 6-pack sample, but this is one of the newer sessions that I will definitely return to.

Nose is flowery, violets and lavendar with a hint of citrus. Quite different. Pours a very pale lemon-colored body with a thick white head that lasts and laces well. Mouth is medium light towards watery with decent sliperyness and fizzy carbonation. Flavor has very little malt, some grain detected, its mostly a single high note of citrus with a hint of peach, this brew is not rounded but drinkable.

A big lemon and resin nose with floral edges. Flavor is subtly west coast hops but mostly grass and weeds. Very light body, almost shocking giving the nose on the beer. An interesting experience, well crafted just not that great flavor wise, I prefer founders version but this certainly has a place in the summer months.

Sampled on 11/6/2012. This IPA pours a medium yellow color from a 12oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is citrusy, tropical, fruity and sweet, and yes hoppy. A medium to lighter bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, a touch tropical. The hops are citrusy, piney and grapefruity. Decent carbonation. A nice drinkable IPA, hoppy and slightly bitter with a nice malt backbone. An excellent session IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Juicy fruits, lemon and pine backed ever so slightly by a grassy, doughy backdrop. Very good hop profile throughout. Clear golden yellow body, 1/2" bubbly head and nice lacing. Light and mildly bitter, clean and very crisp. Not bad, and definitely would fit in on certain occasions.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear straw yellow with a big frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass some.
The aroma is dank, piney, resiny hops and some tropical fruits.
The flavor is a bit mild - some tropical fruits and dank resiny hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation and is a bit watery and washed out.
Overall, I like the lower ABV hoppy beers. This has good bitterness and hop profile, it just seems a bit watery and washed out. I recall liking Founder's All Day IPA better. -

Is this the latest fad in craft beer--light IPAs? I won't complain. I'm really loving the low ABV, highly hopped beers I've come across during the last several months. This one pours a clear light gold, resembling a macro lager. The first smell tells me otherwise--tons of fruity hops abound. A little light in the mouthfeel and only mildly bitter. I could easily drink the entire 6 pack on a warm afternoon.

Bright golden color with a hint of orange, fluffy white head, nice lacing. Dank and funky hopped aroma, earthy and heavy for such a light beer, fresh sweet citrus fruits, light pine resin. Flavor is much bigger than the ABV would indicate: again, dank, funky, oranges, slight floral and pine and earthiness, then clean and fresh. Very good for such a little beer. Drinks much bigger. Will buy more.
