April 2014: Shared bottle at local tasting. Golden colour. Sweetish aroma, notes of white kandij sugar syrup and spicy Belgian ale yeast. The flavour is not as sweet as I feared, quite nice actually. Mild spicy notes.

Taps hazy golden with a thick buff head. Aroma features citrus and stonefruit, subtle butterscotch. Flavor produces sharp citrus, stonefruit, pineapple and butterscotch notes. Texture adds nice body and lively fizz. Play that saxo-phone.

Cloudy wheat color with elements of golden orange, with a thick skiff on top. Sweet wheaty yeast aroma. Very tasty brew, lots yeast, tons of wheat malt and the perfect sweetness. Flavor so very smooth and thick, you can feel it coating your throat. Love this brew its very much like La Fin but only better.

Clear golden with a creamy foam. Spicy and fruity aroma of oranges, banana and sweat. Estery flavour of oranges and banana with notes of grassy hops. Decent belgian ale.

a waxy beans taste, savory herbs. Lt. gold, a light body with a smooth supportive mouthfeel. Golden wheaten taste, finish is floral (dried) potpourri, some dryness. A delicate BSA

Great value for a Belgian blond. Excellent mouthfeel. Perhaps a bit, just a bit too much citrus for me. Nevetheless, I definitely will buy and cellar several bottles. OBTW, I chose this off the shelf primarily because of the label—a snail holding a tenor sax. The Belgian connection of Adolph Sax, beer and snails is just too irresistible for this retired sax player to ignore. Brilliant!

Poured a pale golden color with a large and very pillowy white head (Duvel like). The end of the pour brought with it yeasty haze. Aroma was apples, light pepper, yeast, some pils malts? The flavor was apples, pears, melons, some citrus, light spicing (faint peppers), yeast. Later some grapes and hops came through. Actually the ending on this thing was bitterly balanced, yet it isn't a bitter beer. Classy and crisp, this had some good balance, wasn't overly sweet or thick (light medium mouthfeel for a Belgian Strong), and touched up with hop and yeast bitterness, but delightful. Refreshing.

04.16.05 Brewtopia ’05 750ml bottle. Straw colored, big head, lots of floaty bits. Aromas of honeydew, celery, herbal. Light flavors, full body, bit of peppery spice. Orange blossom. Good.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white creamy head, which disappears fast. Aroma of burnt rubber, wheat and fruity hops. Flavour is alcohol, fruit, wheat and some yeasty notes. Also strong plasticness. Long fruity aftertaste.
