1998. First time I've experienced a beer like this, as such, the nose gave me pause. I've smelled beers like this that I had to toss. No, this is different. I love Heath bars. The is the the culmination of the best Heath bar with the best beer/congac/port wine experience I could imagine. No head or lacing...why would it--it's nine years old! Love it. Must locate, buy and age.

At Pizzeria Paradiso Georgetown: As part of flight, this one pours a brackish brown with no head. Flavor is of dark fruit, with a light sweet mouthfeel. Very rich, but lacking in some basic beer qualities.

Interesting. An amber ale that really is an IPA. Enjoyed the floral, hoppy taste. Kinda wierd...would rather have that much hop taste a bit more blonde. No lacing to speak of. Would have again.

First Swiss beer ever. Will have more. This is great. Pours cloudy, residual yeast in botton of tulip glass. Nice, toffee colour. Kind of like a Chimay Red; however, this is actually better. Will buy a six.

Gas (bubbles). Lots of gas. Whilst pouring, one marvels at the amount of released gas. Beyond the gas, the flavor holds much what one can expect from a Belgium double--dried fruit, raisins, sweetness on the upper palate. This would be great with a chocolate cookie. Love it.
