October 2014: Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting, ABV is 7.5%. Cloudy orange colour (i had the yeast poured in), white head. Aroma of over-ripe berries, also some cheesy notes. Bland and unfresh flavour, hints of over-ripe berries. Not good.

A semi lucent mber colored beer. Big frothy textured off white head rises above. Some staying power. But not much lacing left behind. The nose and flavoring are a dance of sweet and sour. Caramel, fruit, yeast and spices. A pleasing smooth medium bodied beer.

Pours Burt Orange if you will. Head goes away quickly. Front foward apple taste with a meduim body mouthfeel. Finish is sour almost like a cider.. It was ok...

Aroma yeasty as well as fruity with hints of ripened apple and plum as well as some spice and peppery overtones with some slight hop bitter. Appearance is a hazy and cloudy golden amber with a nice and refined head on top that is full-bodied and well-carbonated and an off-white in color and diminishes to a light lacing. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and smooth with nice complexity of fruit as well as spicy balance with a palate that is a bit oily and thick and a bit alcoholic. Flavor is yeasty, spicy, peppery, and fruity with an aftertaste that is a tad smoky and robust with a finish that is clean and similar to a Saison-style in my opinion. Overall, nice amber ale here with lots of flavor and very drinkable even given the alcohol content; great beer here...

This was one great friggin' beer. I real suprise since I've never had a Caracole beer before so I wasn't expecting this. A nice flowery aroma, with caramel and yeast. Flavors of caramel, malts, hops (yes hops!) and light fruit make this beer just one to cherish.

low head...sum lacing...looks like murky red tea with foam....not bad at all in the taste department....missing sumthing...some flavours buried in there...a toned down belgian that a new beer drinker would like!

Hazy dark amber body is topped by a good-sized, white head. The aroma is very bright, almost witbier like. My wife compared it to being slightly like the Lindeman’s Peche lambic. The flavor is brightly fruity, peaches, pears and a slight bit of citrus juice along with a nice malt. It’s not sour despite the aroma’s suggestion that it could be so. A very tasty and drinkable ambree.

Hazy orange colour, mediumsized off-white head. Sweet fruity aroma with some nutty hints. Flavour is sweet fruity with hints of sweet hops and also some nuts. Sweet fruitish aftertaste.

Bottle. Hazy copper colour, very lively with a nice 1cm thick off-white head. It’s got a nice classy Belgian aroma of sweet malt, dried fruit, fresh yeast and perhaps some alcohol. Nice spicey taste, fruity with some light hops. Medium bodied with a long lightly hoppy finish. Alcohol is well hid in the taste. Very good.

Pours a very light amber, giant head that disappears quickly, immediate aroma of apples and coriander. Taste is decent enough, lots of citrus and yeasty. This wasn't at all what I was expecting but entirely welcome. Very good.
