Member of the Order of the Dragon, Vlad Dracul, father of Vlad the Impaler, served as commander for custody of passages from Transylvania to Wallachia. The nickname Dracul (devil in Romanian) comes from the Latin "draco" meaning "dragon."

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7

Pours a foamy bubbly off-white head and has a coppery, rusty appearance. Aromas are bready and toasty malts with citrus and floral hops. Flavours are nice toasted and sweet malts, citrus hops with hints of coriander. Some notes of caramel and some spices show up in the finish. Almost seems like a bit of licorice in the finish as well. Robust mouthfeel, fairly creamy. Quite lively carbonation. Chalky and oily sensation. Slight bitterness on the palate balances well with sweets. Nice and smooth, easy drinking beer.
