I picked this up from the Barrel Chest in Roanoke, VA. This beer, while good enough, is just very ordinary when compared to the cool things going on with IPAs presently. There was nothing wrong with it, it just didn't stand out. Solid start to finish.

A golden color with a white head. Aroma contains some citrus and floral notes. The flavor is dry and hoppy with some lemons and oranges present. It is dry hopped and you can tell. Overall this is a good session IPA but nothing complex.

355 ml bottle, from dutyfree inflightservice. ABV is 6%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of orange marmalade, slightly stale. Some piney hops. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is first zesty and citrussy, and ends in a distinct and resinous bitterness. Refreshing.

Clear dark yellow, white fluffy foam head. Nice hoppy aroma and bitter taste. Malty with some light citrus notes. Great IPA-ss aftertaste, long lasting. (Velp 201605)

Pours clear golden with a thick and fairly persistent eggshell head. Hoppy aroma has a nice fruity undertone an a hint of malt. Flavor is quite hoppy, mainly woody, somewhat bitter, with a fruity and slightly floral undertone that balances the bitter. Texture is fairly firm and fairly tingly, leaving a nice hoppy finish. Get cast away!

I liked the pull tops, and the bottle design was original.Very light colored Pale IPA, surprised me with lots of taste and a mild aroma. At first i Thought it could of used more body, but on a hot hawaiian beach it would be outstanding.

pours a crystal clear golden colored with a small ivory colored head that receded to a thin collar with moderate lacing. The aroma was tropical pineapple, grapefruit, a little apricot. The taste was muted grapefruit up front, ripe pineapple from mid-palate through the low to moderately bitter finish. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, low to moderate carbonation and a medium dry finish.

A pleasant surprise from a brewery whose lagers, I've already tried were mediocre at best. Golden sunshine in color with a big sudsy textured, off white head rising above. There's good hang time on the head and an impressive clingy film, thick ringlet and persistent cap. Bold citrusy hopped nose. Bitter citric hops balanced by sweet citrus fruit and malt. Crisp and effervescent.

12oz bottle -
Aroma - pineapples, citrus, toffee with some light mineral water notes.
Appearance - clear amber body with a 1-finger off-white head, some retention
Mouthfeel - medium carbonation, medium bodied, slightly puckering
Flavor - decent hop profile, but its definitely malt forward. The hops really shine on the back end with a long finish.
Overall - Super nice at a really right price, you don't see many IPA sixers selling for under $8.00 and this was at $7.99. Nothing fancy, just a clean tasting, malt forward IPA that pretty standard. -

One of the better Kona's out there. At first it seemed a little off balance, leaning too much on the hops and could use a bit more malt. But, for semi-macroish brew, they are aiming for a West-Coast type hop bomb, which this definitely has some bitter to it. A clear medium yellow to light orange appearance. Lots of tropical and citrus flavor.....maybe some passionfruit too. Growing on me towards the end of my single sample. Not sure I'd be too happy with a 6 of this, but something I can drink here or there.....kind of curious to see what it's like on tap now.
