The Kingston Penitentiary, once among the world's most notorious maximum- security prisons, was originally called the "Provincial Penitentiary of the Province of Upper Canada". The facility contained 4 cellblocks connected by a large dome, and was shut down in 2013. Our Black IPA (also known as a Cascadian Dark Ale) is layered with roasted malts and aggressively hopped to provide an aromatic citrus and pine force field backed by a sharp bitterness and a full body situating itself right on the border between a stout and an IPA. Enjoy on its own or with blue and aged cheeses or a steak.
