When we hosted our first bee hive at the brewery in 2019, we learned a lot about the role that dandelions play in helping the honey bee population. The bees need the dandelions as it provides them with a great source of nectar and pollen, and we all know how important it is for the bee population to be healthy. Our Dandelion Pale Ale is the latest brew in our Lab Series and our brewers had a lot of fun working with the natural bitterness of the dandelion roots and leaves.

Caramel and nutty aromas from the malts. Pretty clean, light-golden colour with a big frothy warm cap, good stay and full creamy lacing. Hints of candies come out in the nose after breathing. The taste shows the cereal malts with a tad hops. Enough to create decent some soft dryness in the end. Still, a little sweetness found in there, but at least not lingering. Some might be turned off by dandelions, but here it is well-balanced with the APA.
