A classic brown British ale rich in colour and taste, this beer is crafted with six different malts and finished with East Kent Goldings hops. Dark brown in colour, Nut Brown has a full malt body that settles smoothly on the palate towards a slightly sweet finish. Hints of honey and chocolate malt give it a truly unique flavour

Dark brown in colour, small beige coloured quickly dissipating head, no lacing. The aroma had some caramel malts, light toffee sweetness, nutty, small roast. The flavour did have some roasted malts and nuts but the sweetness seemed to take over becoming rather cloying. Lightly bitter mouthfeel (turning sweet), medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes sweet, more-so as the beer warms. Very average, Kawartha Lakes brewery seems to get swallowed up by the other Ontario micro breweries. Their beer is still available but are now brewed by Amsterdam in Toronto.

Poured with a splash of head and instant aroma floating around the mug. Chesnut brown in colour. Some gentle roastness, great deal of nut. Very nice mouthfeel, a tad watery. Still well pronouced with nutty flavours and well rounded with gentle roastness. A great medium bodied nut brown, perfect for the fall or cool spring nights. Far from extrodinary but a very nice offering from KLB and something I wouldn't have anything against drinking again.

Tap - Dark brew with medium head that disapeared a tad too quickly. Great aroma of nut. Taste of nut is very present and enjoyable in this brew. Also present is a taste of coffee or bunt malts. Body is a bit thin for my liking. Probably one of the best from the Kawartha Lakes brewery.

Poured a deep brown colour with red highlights. The head was thin and beige in colour with not much retention. Caught some aromas of molasse and hints of nuts. Coffee and molasse were apparent in the mouth, with burnt malts. Very smooth. A very good summer beer to enjoy outside with a cigar.

This brown ale pours with a deep amber brown body topped by a thin head with little lacing. The aroma and flavor are sweet, malty and nutty with a slight hoppy bitterness and a touch of roastiness. Medium bodied and smooth.
