This delicious farmhouse ale is named for our Jack Russell, who struck by a car, bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion, and is brewed for those of us who knocked down, have picked up, dusted off and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, bottle conditioned and dry hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops and yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, And look both ways when crossing the street!

Pours a hazy light-golden colour, kind of beige-yellow with a big white creamy head, long lasting and with some decent lacing. Carbonation is quite active with tiny bubbles. Sour aromas over citrus notes with Belgian Ale yeast and mild grass. The taste has the sourness again with citrus. Light grain and yeast tarts up the tongue in the aftertaste. Hints of spices. Not bad, but more of a sour wild beer than saison. Not my thing.

a YEASTY SPICY AND CITRUS TINGED BREW. Adequately sour, has the JP house flavor and aroma. Murky as all hell and a bit explosive, but I enjoyed the 20-22 oz that were left in the botle after :) Next time I'll open over the glass.

Medium bodied and nicely carbonated. Pale yellow-orange color with a fluffy white head and nice lacing. Pepper and spice great the nose and pallette.

RBAG 2012. Cloudy gold with a white fluffy cap floating on top. Funky lemon aroma with sweet wheaty malts. Funky sour lemon, with spice and apple, this ok tasting. Brew is really dry….starting to get pasties. Just tasted some high quality grass the kind they would have at Augusta I imagine. Malty are wheaty and light. Glad I picked this one to try.

1st Jolly Pumpkin beer. From batch #251,252. One of those breweries that I never thought I would find...and then I discover this little beer oasis in the desert! Several inches of white frothy foam, and a lot of lacing all over the glass. Cloudy yellow, with a little cyclone of bubbles in the middle. Nice balance of tart and sour flavors...like unripe green apples, and...I can't place the tart flavor. I've had one saison before (fron Fantome). This is really delicious. It is light enough to make it easy to drink and the flavors are pronounced enough to make this a really stellar beer. now I want to try the one with the Van Gogh-esque label featuring a lady with a nice ass.

Cloudy. Burnt yellow/gold color with a super bright, white, soapy, fluffy head. Had some very nice retention and lacing. Looks pretty good in the glass. The aroma is definitely a puzzler. It has the spice of pepper and maybe some clove, but I'm detecting what I think might be a sour lemon or something. It almost had a funky nursing home, stale urine type of smell. Not very pleasing to me. The taste had a bitter, tart lemon flavoring. Loads of bitterness to make me pucker up. Some spice of pepper and clove. The taste is also very sour. Maybe a bit too much for me at this point. The mouthfeel was primarily medium. Left plenty on the palate. Somewhat watery and could be refreshing under the correct circumstances. Well, this was my first Saison, so maybe I was caught a little off gaurd by the aroma and taste. Maybe just a touch too sour for me. My palate must not be ready for this style. I'm sure some love it and maybe I will revert back to this and give it a second review when I have had more experience with this style of beer. As for now, this is not a beer I would want on a regular basis.

Comes out of the tap a hazy, barely translucent light honey golden. Strong aroma is sweet, malty and slightly spicy. Malty flavor is somewhat honey-sweet and slightly spicy and hoppy. Texture is lively, fizzy and tingly.

Gowler from Capone's. Poured a cloudy lemony gold with a one-finger head which quickly settled into a coating. Nose is lemon zest, apples, pears some floral tones and yeast. Mouthfeel is medium to thin, smooth with light carbonation. The taste was green apples, lemongrass, some funk for sure (but never overbearing) and definitely some earthy, grassy hay-like presence. There was a hint of pepper or spices there as well. Finish is a nice dry lingering citrus tartness. Taste along with the ABV make this a perfect summer sessionable refreshment.

750 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Slightly hazy very pale yellow colour, huge white head. Nice spicy aroma, notes of Belgian ale yeast, hops and citrus, hints of farmhouse. Refreshing flavour, mildly spicy, some citrussy fruitiness, moderate hops. Best served relatively cold.
