The beer poured a golden colour with some reddish hints. The head was huge, white, and short-lived...quickly dissipating into uneven lacing on top. The aroma was very grassy with a little bit of malt. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with ample carbonation. The flavour was very grassy as well with some hints and very subtle hoppiness.

330ml bottle filed dec.14/ 07 Pours a crystal clear gold with a white 1 finger cap that reduces quickly but laces well. Aromas are malty-grainy, light whiff of lemon grass from the Alsation hops. Grainy-sweetness up front gets balanced by some herbal-resinous hopping...lightly drying finish....very flavorful but simple...like a good well crafted and carried-off lager...something hard to do with an ale...but this is a prime example of uncomplicated simplicity and skill producing a very tasty, satisfying, serviceable ale

The spring beer, wothout any spring in its' taste. The beer poured a very pale gold colour with a thin white head. The aroma.....well they forgot to bottle that. The flavour........well they forgot that too. The lack of aroma and flavour made for a very bland beer, however the heavy carbonation is not to be forgotten.

Bottle: Poured a light clear copper color ale with a nice foamy head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of grainy malt with some light dry hops. Taste is also dominated by some unrefined dry grain which is more or less pleasing with some notes of dry stale hops. Light body with average carbonation. I will have to say that this was quite bland and boring and not something I will try again anytime soon.

An average beer for average people. The beer is transulcent gold, a little effevescence, and the head is white. The aroma is malted grain and not much else. The extra effervescence leads to a highly carbonated experience on the tongue. Similarly, the taste is all about the grainy malt.

Seasonal offering at the LCBO, with a best before date that is written: 14/12/2008 on back label. Pours a clear golden colour with a white foamy head, that disappears at a medium pace. What is clearly noticeable, is that this brew has hardly any carbonation, and after a few minutes, no bubbles are to be found. Malt is dominant in the aroma, with a little grass and mild honey. The mouthfeel is pretty flat, but has a little stickiness in the mouth. Grain malt is most of the flavour, with the mild grass and honey coming out in the aftertaste. The ring of lacing stays all along. Not a bad beer, with a light difference to other beers that look the same, but nothing too outstanding either.

Pours an ambery golden color, huge pillowy frothy head, incredible retention, frothy/pillowy to the finish, lacing rings all the way down. The aroma was grassy, fruity, grainy malts. The flavor was grainy, a touch of wheat/corn, light fruits, light zingy spice in the finish, but strong malt presence, firm grass flavors, yet not dry or bitter enough for me. Could have come off blind like a maibock/hellesbock, or even a strong lager. Mouthfeel was too thick for spring / beginning of summer. Drinkable, not loveable.

04.16.05 Brewtopia ’05 750ml bottle. Straw color. Aromas lightly herbal and grass. Pear. Noble hops(?) don’t seem to fit the style. Beer dominated by hops and the body is way thin. Needs some more malts and some serious time to mellow. A suitable quaff, but not special.
