    Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8

This poured a pitch black color with a beige head. The aroma contains some chocolate, coffee, faint citrus, alcohol. The flavor is mainly chocolate and coffee. Some licorice is showing. The finish is bitter on this one. Overall this is about 90% stout, 10% IPA but I thought it was a nice beer.

Pours an oily black with a fine-bubbled beige head. It is so opaque that not one photon gets through. Strong aroma is smoky, hoppy and malty with earthy and nutty hints. Flavor is strongly hoppy and woody, minimally bitter, and has touches of licorice, resin and caramel. Texture is quite fizzy and edgy with a fairly strong but not vicious alcohol nip. Big flavor? You betcha!
