Firefly is our lightest offering at Jackie O’s. We like to refer to it as our gateway ale. Introducing macro drinkers to this beer has proved to be effective in converting them into craft beer drinkers. Seasoned craft beer drinkers also admire the drinkability and soft but wide rage of flavors embedded within this Amber ale. Lightly roasted malt gives Firefly a biscuit-like finish. Carefully selected hops provide an herbal and mildly citrus aroma and flavor.

pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small foamy white head with pretty good retention. The aroma is of toasted grainy malt with a touch if caramel sweetness, just a trace of piney hop. The taste has lots of toasted and caramel malt flavors up front, a hint of fruitiness mid-palate leads to mild hop bitterness on the finish. The mouth feel is medium body with low carbonation, slightly foamy with a crisp finish. Good drinkability!

A nice session beer provided by Kinger. Light body but good bread notes balanced by enough hops to keep the flavor interesting. If I had a six pack it wouldn't have taken too long to get through it.

Moderately hopped up amber, this actually straddles between the traditional amber ale and a mild American pale ale. Light bodied and easy going, balanced and pleasing. Light amber/copper pour, moderate head and good lacing. Fruity Cascades throughout working in conjunction with a biscuity light malt body.
