Pours a black color. Smell is of roasted malts, some chocolate. Taste is chocolate, malts, a touch of coffee. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

a little more interesting than thie pale or amber lager fo sho. not exactly robust, but atl east starting to lean that way. this is a dryer porter. heavily roasted aroma with a little chocolate and coffee in the back end. a little overcarbonated, but ok. flavor matches the aroma with a gentle hop bite.

Pours a deep brown color with a small tan head which fades fast to give only a very small amount of lacing. The aroma is sweet toffee and caramel as well as dark bread and a light roasted malt are present mingling producing a nice sweet bready aroma. The taste is a dryer dark bready flavor with hints of a very light sweetness are upfront. As the flavor advances it bitters more as some roasted flavors of a light coffee and burnt toast become present. These flavors last to the end where they leave a bitter roasted flavor on the tongue. The mouthfeel is medium with a slightly lower level of carbonation.

Not in color as I would expect of the style. More Mahogany. A big foamy textured, light tan head rises robusty above. There' good hang time on this one. A medium sized ringlet is left. The nose is barely discernable. The palate not as roasty as advertised. There's a presence of grassiness in the taste. It is light bodied with some creaminess

Dundee 12-pack variety....2 new flavors with all 4 varieties that I have not sampled yet....under $12....figured I'd give it a shot. This is a thinner porter. Dark brown appearance with decent aroma. Mostly light/roasty chocolate malt...lightly hopped. About average for a porter...pretty much ho-hum.

Aroma is fairly strong and smoky with a hint of roast coffee. It pours a typical but still appetizing opaque sable with an OK light tan head. Flavor is like any good stout, smoky with tones of molasses, unsweet chocolate and quality coffee. Texture is fairly smooth and fizzy, leaving behind a pleasing tingle. I love good porters!

This came from a variety pack, had nice color and aroma.Taste of some chocolate , and some darker malts .Not too bad, not real impressive but probably normal for the style.

Sampled on 3/27/2009. The porter pours a dark brown color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized tan foamy head. The aroma is chocolate and coffee, somewhat sweet. A medium bodied porter. The malts are chocolate and coffee, a little sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. A touch of vanilla flavor as well. It’s a little sweet and a touch thin, but a decent porter. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

It pours a thick black with dimpled tan head and excellent lace. Sweet aroma of chocolate malts, raspberry, citrus, light mint, and spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, rich and full-bodied. Flavors of chocolate malt, citrus, light molasses, light mint, berry, and mild spices. Great!

Smoked peat and beef jerky scents backed up by a mild chocolate presence. Nice aroma just not robust enough to score higher. Opaque amber/brown pour with a nice frothy head and abundant lacing. Lighter in body than most in this style, bitter-sweet on the tongue. Finishes thin and gets a little cloying. Roasted, toasted malt flavors along with light coffee and chocolate. Slight metallic aftertaste, but fairly flavorful overall. This is almost exactly what I expected from this bottle.
