Part of their 2013 spring/summer Variety 12-pack purchased in Syracuse, NY. Pours a clean golden colour with a frothy, slightly creamy white head, average retention and lots of dirty lace. Sweet malty nose with some alcohol. Very sweet tasting malt grain that leaves a cereal aftertaste. Reminds me of the sweetness of some malt liquors. Thankfully, some hop comes balancing things with some grassy notes in the end. Still, not my thing.

A bright copper colored beer with a big foamy textured white head, rising robustly above. There was great hang time on the head. Settles into a light dusting of film and thick cap atop the body. The nose is light, light caramel and maybe some fruit and spice. The same profile in a more dominate presence with nice malts true to the style. Medium bodies and smooth. Pretty good.

pours a transparent deep golden color and formed a small thick, coarse, white, sudsy head that dissipated fast. The aroma was nutty, faint plum or maybe red grape. The taste was nutty malt character with carmel notes and a faint spiciness. no discernible hop character but a light bitterness is noticeable on the back of the tongue. The mouthfeel nearly medium with adequate carbonation.

About average for a beer....slightly below average for a bock. Finding the balance off for most of these brews by them. Price is right, but you get what you pay for. Liking the Sammy Adams and Magic Hat variety packs better, but always up for trying new things. Second sample at beer-tasting party. Was working my way up to the good/stronger stuff, and wanted to get as many reviews in as I could...thus took advantage of the free/not so great stuff first. Thinking after my last variety pack and the couple new Dundees that I sampled last night, that I have been there and done that with this brewery.

This was my first pale bock. I was very suprised. That had a great bock taste but was lighter and more refreashing. It would be a good beer to drink to quench a thirst. I would like to find a 6 pack now.

First bock that I've had. Poured a dark amber color. The taste was malty and sweet. The head left a decent amount of lace on the glass. This is slightly better than their Honey Lager.

This was from a sample pack that was not too bad. This was the first pale bock i have tried . Not too bad, nice color and aroma. tasted real malty and was not too bad. Would recommend trying this in the variety pack.

Sampled on 12/7/2008. The bock pours an orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with decent retention. The aroma is caramel malt, fruity and sweet. A light to medium bodied bock. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are mild, but floral and earthy. A touch thin bodied and a little thin tasting. Mostly it is just a little bland tasting. Decent carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Perhaps the best out of the sampler pack but like the other beers, this one still seems to be lacking in flavor. Aroma is malty with just a hint of hops. Taste is smooth and malty-sweet. Best to drink cold.

The 6th and final beer from the craft sampler case. Pale bock lives up to the name with a pale brown, heavily carbonated body with a thick head. Slight aromas of malt, flavor was light malts and nutty. Mouthfeel was watery. Overall it was decent, but i probably wouldnt buy it again.--- Overall i think Dundee, while serving decent products, makes its beer not for the conosuier, but for the masses, slightly above average brews for the "something thats different from budweiser" crowd.
