I had this beer at a bar in the meat packing district in NYC. This beer was REALLY good. It has floral notes and citrusy hops combined with hints of grass. What a great beer. Well done.

Very floral nose lilacs and lemon and pepper. Really a nice nose! Pours a medium gold body that is clear and topped with a decent white head with fair retention and some lace. Mouth is medium with very nice carbonation and a touch creamy. First taste is bitter followed by a nice balance of sweetness (from their yeast they say) and grapefruit. Finish is fairly dry with the bitterness kicking back in. Not complex. Alcohol totally masked. Very nice IPA, if this is really 8% what is the cut off point for an Imperial?

pours a orangish yellow color with with a medium sized eggshell white head with some spotty lace. The aroma was floral, pine and citrus notes and had a touch of bready malts. The taste was mild to moderate bitterness with pine notes and a touch of citris and grass. The malts taste like a fresh baked biscuit with some honey and butter on it. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

From JArch, KnoxBeerCrew, in a small trade: nice clear amber pour with a slight head, and copious lacing. Dank and citrus aroma, with predominantly grapefruits, then some spruce and slight floral, and some caramel malts to sweeten the nose. taste is dank and bitter too, grapefruits and citrus, some sweet oranges, slight pine needles, some honeysuckle and floralness, decent malt sweetness to offset bitterness from massive hops presence. VERY drinkable and tasty. Seek if you can get a fresh one.

Been grooving on some flower power every now and then over the past couple of years that Ithaca has been available locally. When fresh, there's an intense dank hop presence followed by firm citrus and evergreen. Biscuit and mild caramel malt flavors allow the hops to shine in this great IPA.

This is quite the well balanced IPA, but at the same time, nothing stood out for me to distinguinsh it from the other gazillion IPAs out there. A cloudy orange-gold pour with a creamy off-white cap. grain, light fruit, pine, and perfume make up the aroma. The taste is nicely balanced between the malt and the hops with a mild sweetness up front, and a weak bitter bite in the end......no aftertaste.

Bottle from Monster Beverage in Glassboro, NJ. Best buy date appears to be toicked on the line between "A" for August and "S" for September. I wouldn’t have bought it except I really have been looking forward to this, and it’s not available in my home state. Technically, I’m still in the brewers recommended window, but still my experience doesn’t match other reviews, so I will seek a fresher bottle (or tap) someday. Pour was golden/honey color with huge pillowy head. Nice looking beer. A sweet, fruity and hoppy aroma. I can’t see how anyone can call this bland...bursting with huge fruity and sweet flower nectar flavors...a huge maltiness. Unfortunately, very little bitterness is there to balance it out. I’ll bet this is outstanding fresh. Still good, but left me craving more.

The first thing I noticed about this beer was the aroma--smelled like a flower bouquet with some citrus. Very good IPA; heavily hopped with a floral/bitter taste (which I like a lot). Would definitely try this again.

After a night of drinking angry dark beers at the Old Toad in Rochester, NY, I wanted to finish up with something light and hoppy. This is where I was turned on to Ithaca's Flower Power. All I can say is that it is like having a bouquet of flowers in a glass.

This stuff just oozes flowers from the minute that the waitress brought it to my table. It had a really nice hoppy/floral mix to it that was amazing to smell. It was so pleasant, I almost didn't want to drink it. My palate and stomach got the best of me and I dove right in.

The first thing that hit me was that this beer wasn't as smooth as I thought it would be. It actually has a medium level of carbonation to it that leads to a nice head and some sweet lacing on the glass as you drink it down. The color is amberish. Good stuff if you ask me. I wouldn't recommend having more than one of these at a time because the floral/bitter mix can be a little much for the senses. Personally, I think I made the right call and had this at the end of the evening because my taste buds probably would have been shot after having this. The taste lingers for a while in your mouth. Nonetheless, it's good stuff.
