This is a filtered American wheat beer, with a touch of natural raspberry flavor and aroma. Before you pass this one over because it’s a “fruit” beer, try it on a hot summer afternoon. Our brewers even admit it’s their beer of choice during those hot summer beer festivals.

Poured a very light golden color with small head. Aroma was stright up raspberries overwelming. Flavor was much much the same. Clearly for the summertime but still not done very well.

I had the Iron Hill Raspberry Wheat on tap at the Newark, DE location. It poured a light golden color with a strong aroma of raspberries. The taste was way too tart and overbearing. It's like some women complained they couldn't taste the raspberries so they decided to add double. I've had this before and thought it was alright but this batch was not very good.

Another run at a fruit beer, this one was average. Nice for the summer, but there's a good reason I haven't gotten this in my many trips to IH. Clear to slightly hazy golden color with a small head and usual American Wheat appearance. The aroma was of raspberries. The flavor was much the same, while this one hid that normal barn / hay type flavor that underlies many an American Wheat. Mouthfeel was light and refreshing (for the summertime only).

Poured a hazy golden color with a small white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet rasperry and a tart wheatiness. Taste was very bland, sweet raspberries, grains and a sweet maltiness. Rather forgettable.

The waittress how served this to me (sampler size) lied. She said, the raspberry has a stronger smell than it does taste. It didn't. I couldn't taste much else besides the raspberry and my friend with me said it tasted like overflavored cough syrup. I don't really like "flavored" beers, much the same as I don't like flavored coffee. It seems like any company that advertises a flavor in the name of a product feels the need to way overdo that flavor...whether it be beer, coffee, spaghetti sauce, etc. TOO MUCH RASPBERRY.

Rejoice your mom can put down that berry flavored Zima and finally drink beer at Iron Hill. This was nothing more than a standard lager with some raspberries thrown it. Some malt presaence. Eh keep on moving.

This raspberry flavored beer was pretty good, though not the best I've tried. It was light in color and flavor, like most raspberry wheats, but didn't taste like there was much wheat in it. The raspberry aroma and taste was pleasant, not too weak and definitely not strong. A lot of the fruit flavored beers I've had taste either too artificially fruit-like or don't mix with the beer well, but this one was not one of those. My only complaint is maybe adding some more wheat umph to it instead of seeming like a light beer underneath the fruit.
