In celebration of our 10th Anniversary, we have crafted this wonderful dark Belgian style abbey ale. Using dark roasted malts, and light and dark candi sugar, we have created a beer with a great nose of roast, fruity esters and spice, with a flavor that starts with a malty character up front and a clean finish.

Bottle enjoyed at the Wilmington location. Dark brown pour, nice beige head. Huge aroma of fruit and alcohol. The flavor...this could have passed for an authentic Belgian....very reminiscent of Chimay Blue, which isn’t a bad thing. Lots of dark fruit, mild spice. Rich and sweet, but not cloying in the least. Nice beer.

Poured a cloudy redish brown. very small head. Arom was of caramel malts cherries, fruits. Flavor was much the same, some plums in there as well. Little roast as well. Overall was a little hot but solid beer.

Poured a hazy, mahogany color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of cherries, cocoa, caramel malts, tropical fruits, peat smoke, with some light alcohol as well. Taste of more caramel, rum soaked raisins, plums, light citrus, vinous, with a dry, yeasty finish, with a touch of smoke, and a bit of alcohol as well.

Poured a deep brown color with a very nice fluffy white to slight off-white head. Lacing was less than expected given the head. The aroma was caramel and some spices, fruity, somewhat like a Christmas-time Belgian Ale. The flavor followed suit, some brown sugar, caramel, cinnamon, other spices, some light roast (v. faint touch of peat). Mouthfeel was smooth, finished with a touch of bitterness (hops or spices?), maybe a touch acidic. Not bad, not excellent, decent.
