500ml swing-top from Ambrosetti (Berlin). Best thing was the pour, clear mahogany pour under a brief beige head. Aroma not bad either, faint but still there was dark fruit, yeast, and malt. Flavour was lacking, though; bland and a too-sweet finish. Smooth yet thin mouthfeel.

Clear copper color with small white foam ring. Aroma is hard to detect. Taste is like mixture between alt and oktoberfest, quite fresh. Short malty aftertaste. (Velp 201305)

Part of a Christmas gift pack of swing top Hoss biers. A clear rust coloured beer with a thin white short-lived head. Caramel malt, spices, and floral hops dominate the aroma. Sweet is the word to describe the flavour. Plenty malty.

Purchased at the LCBO in a 3-pack of different beers from Hoss for Christmas 2010. Best before date on back label says 30.05.11. Swing-top brown bottle and served in one of their tall round-cylinder glass mug. Pours a clean amber colour with medium bubbles around the glass and light carbonation. Big off-white head that creamy-soapy with great retention and dirty lace. Aromas of darker malts, caramel, fruits (raisins, plums), bread and hints of nuts. Wet oily mouthfeel. The taste is surprisingly mild compared to its smell. Toffee and soda water. Too bad the flavours could not follow the aromas.

poured a nice truly amber brown color..really quite unique in color. very nice head that lingered. Taste is malty with some sweetness, but fortunately not too much. I drank this tonight without chilling, as my house was a tad chilly already. It was nice, not overpowering, and would make a nice drink with food. I should note, I bought it for the bottle which is really nifty looking. :)

Swing top bottle racked 5 weeks previous. Nice to finally get a fairly fresh Hoss Hirschbreau sample. Pours a lovely clear copper-cola color, decent 3 finger frothy cap. Soft carbonation. Aroma is very pleasant Munich malt sweetness, some toast, a smidge of roast, light herbal spalters..very decent for a Vollbier Keller. A very soft mouth to this one...well conditioned and not very carbonated...pleasant sweet malty toastiness is complimented by a subtle noble hop presence...goes to an almost dry finish (good attenuation) A subtle delicate beer in the northern kellerbier style...just made for sessions and washing down saurbraten with red cabbage and potato dumplings...Das schmeckt gut!.

The beer poured a translucent dark red with a 1" tan head that lingered. The aroma was dark malt, some caramel, some licorice, and some floral hops. Grainy malt flavour, backed with some caramel hints and hops. I really enjoyed this. -

Flip top from boardman. Barely any pop. Insignificant chocolate of careob aroma. Looks like very light root beer, almost cream soda. Nice sparkling unhazy appearance. Mild and fairly laid back except for that slight bitter malt nag. Goes down pretty easy. Decent carbonation. Back of throat pond water finish. On par with Moosbacher Kellerbier and voodoo pizilla.

VEGAS - this was the beer to follow the abortion that was Wells Banana Bread
Light brown / burnt orange brew, small bright white cap, excellent long lasting ropy lacing. Clean looking beer with nice colour. The aroma has some light cherry, odd candy (it's weak and not annoying), blue popsicles, interesting toasted malts - over all the aroma is very interesting as I had a very hard time identifying aromas. Refreshing brew with soft toasted malts, very goo malts actually, a bit sweet, a bit of leafy hops. Tasty stuff! Finishes quickly with a weak bitterness. Hopefully one day this will appear in my neck of the woods. -

Bottled. Amber colour, medium beige head. Aroma is wood, hops, earth and some sweetness. Flavour is very similar. Pleasant thing, but quite one-dimensional.
