Translucent red brown, ruddy coffee, with ring of foam around the top. Faint sweet yeast aroma. A little drier than the "Thoroughbred Red" amber ale, and faintly smoky, but still sweet with a little balance. Much tastier than the Red, but still not a bold flavor. Frankly bland. Subtle, warms well. Quite wet, as are other Hops brews.

Was a thick dark colored ale. Good lacing. I thought I tasted chocolate and coffee also. I loved it and will drink it again.

Again, I guess I got lucky. Must have had a good batch. Dark, rich color. This was a very nice brew. Had good head and nice lacing. A good bite with a nice mix of flavors. A good mix of dark malts and hops.

This is one of the best porters I've tried. Definitely better than any bottled beer available. The company's description is pretty accurate. Nice, smoothe porter with a beautiful head. Good lacing down the sides of the glass. No strong aftertaste.

Dark color with a relatively thick head and some lacing. Pretty good taste with some chocolate and coffee. A bit rich, thick and bitter. Not my favorite sytle but a pretty well-rounded Porter.

My favorite beer from this restaurant/beer chain. A dark appearance with a generous head. Flavor is slightly bitter with some chocolate and coffee like porter qualities coming through. I personally believe this to be more of a porter than an American ale. But overall its a decent "stout" and this brewery loves to make all thier beers a little too sweet.

A good hoppy ale when brewed right. Hop's beers suffer from a good deal of irregularity. Sometimes high alcohol some times weak. Sometimes well hopped sometimes lame... ect. ect. ect.
