Has a murky pour, but has a decent head, which doesn't hang around to long. Excellent carbination, I really enjoy fruit flavored wheat beers. Tates good on hot summer days. Hard to believe AB made this but don't let that turn you off.

This poured a light copper color with a white head. The aroma is faint with some hints of citrus and caramel. The flavor contains some citrus such as lemons and caramel as well. A real malt bomb with just a hint of bitterness in the finish. Overall ok lawn mower type beer but nothing exciting.

When I saw the label "Hop Hound", I thought this would be a hoppy beer. Since its a wheat beer though it's actually on the sweeter side. A darker amber color, or medium brown. Reminded me a bit like Honey Brown, but not as sweet. There is a little bit of a bitter aftertaste, but nothing like an ale or some of the "hoppier" beers. I liked it as part of the new flavors Anheuser is pumping out, but for a buck or two extra a six-pack I can find better in this style. It was worth the try though for sure.

Pours a hazy, dark orange with a very thin white head that disappears almost immediately. Aroma and taste are both kind of muted, but that isn't surprising for an AB-Inbev product. Some spice and hops along with sweet malts evident in the aroma. Thin mouthfeel but surprising decent taste--mild bitterness, grains, some sweet malts all noticeable. One of the better "craft" offerings from AB. I imagine if they stayed true to the name and hopped it up, this would be one of my favorite wheats.

Hop hound pours a slightly murky amber body, thin head and lace. Aroma and flavor of malts and a few hops, i was expecting more hops for something named hop hound. Overall it is easy to drink, not as pronounced as i would like in the aroma and flavor departments, but decent enough.

12 oz. bottle poured into a weizen glass. The pour is an amber-copper with a tall white head. The head is gone quickly, and lacing is low. The smell reminds me of a citrusy Budweiser. There is the trademark sweetness with a bit of grain, grass and citrus. As it warms, I catch a faint hint of banana. The taste is the same, but the fruits come out just a bit more. There is just a mild bitterness; I definitely expected more hops in something its brewers call "Hop Hound." The taste improves a bit, from somewhere below average to mediocre, as it warms. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. The beer is surprisingly filling; I'm not sure I could finish two. As I said above, I expected more hops when the word "Hop" is in the name. It's not undrinkabile, but I'll pass next time.

asted during the Nor Cal Beer Geek Tasting on 3/11/2009. This wheat beer pours a medium to light amber color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is cereal and grain, with some sweetness. Is it just me or do the words hop, amber and lager NOT belong together? A medium to light bodied wheat beer? The malts are cereal and grainy, with a touch of caramel. The hops are slightly spicy. Very lively carbonation. I am not sure what this beer is supposed to be. Its not a lager, not an amber and not a wheat. Its not really even a combo of any or all of them. Maybe one day AB-InBev will make a decent micro. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Hop hound S6L5F3T4O12: Impressive gunk on bottom pouring experience. Cloudy orange yellow. Good creamy carbonation texture. Initially, taste is mildly rude; malty and a little alky-ish feel. Finish is OK for a amber wheat. Interesting combination of styles.

Picked up a six pack while at a 7 eleven while on vacation in Williamsburg, VA. Surprisingly good. Spicy aroma, although not very pronounced. Dark orange color with a decent head. Nice maltiness with a little hop bight, lightly bitter aftertase. All in all pretty refreshing. I bought another 6 to take home.

Poured a medium amber with white head and slight lacing. I found both the aroma and the taste mediciny. The spiciness was underdone. It was bud with spice.
