bière d'une belle couleur brune avec un goût moyen. mousse raisonnable. je m'attendais à un goût plus prononcé. pas de goût de café, de chocolat ou de caramel. j'ai peut-être pogné une vieille canne. ah ben coudon ...

This is available in cans in Ontario..............althought I've been told it is better from a bottle. The beer pours a dark brown colour with reddish hints. The head is tan coloured, thick, and lasts. The aroma is sweet malt with some fruit hints, and some perfumey hops. The flavour is all malt, not as sweet as the aroma would imply however.

The beer pours a translucent dark brown colour with a thin tan coloured head. The aroma is malty with some sweet and spicy tones. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation. The flavour is dry, malty, a bit spicy, and a little hoppy finish. -

It poured a very dark amber color with a decent head. It has a heavier taste to it but for the most part the 7% alcohol goes unnoticed. Not a bad beer, but nothing special.

this review will be my first in a long time so what can i say about this beer... well it is extremly heavy in taste, if you are a fan of thick beer with major head.. this is a beer I would give a try. 7/10 would be my respectable rating.

Dark brown body that is crystal clear, a thin noisy cap tops of the brew but completely vanished in a minuet leaving not one single bubble floating on top this just looks like a glass of brown water. Very mild aroma, faint roast malts, some cigarette smoke (now that’s something you never want to find in your brew), coffee maybe, a hint of apple juice, and some noticeable alcohol on very deep inhales. Mouth feel is way to flat but at least this isn’t thin or watery. Flavor has very noticeable alcohol but it’s the bad rubbing alcohol kind not the tasty kind. Lots of caramel malts and just a hint of coffee can be tasted, beer starts off with some nice mild bitterness but finishes at the back of throat with a over the top sweetness. Man this is just way to over the top sweet for me and has way to much of a alcohol presence I can only imagine the killer hang over I would have if I drank this all night. Did I get a bad can of this my description and experience seems completely different from everyone else’s, oh well I might have to try this again.

This poured out dark brown with a beige coloured head. The aroma is clean with spicy notes. The flavour is fairly average but the tin taste of the can is evident. Overall this is a fairly average bock.

Brown in colour, thin tan coloured head, some lacing. The aroma was quite sweet, lots of caramel in here, roasty, brown sugar, noticable alcohol. The flavour is pretty sweet on the whole - near cloying - again lots of caramel, burnt sugar with small amounts of cold coffee. Alcoholic mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes with too much noticable alcohol, a fairly boring middle of the road Bock.

Nice light tan bubbly head that produced almost an inch of head on a careful pour. Beer is dark brown / ruby red. Roasted malts dominated the aroma, but a slight fruitiness does exist. Could use a tad more smell, but it's dead on to where it should be for a bock. Taste is also mostly rich roasted malts and a lot of them. Mmm mmm mmm! The sweetness that is there is caramelly. Nice balanced bitter touch. It's chewy forsure. Why do mushrooms creep into my head...that's pretty screwed up! I hate mushrooms. It's all in my head. There is no mushrooms here.... Mouthfeel is quite smooth with just a hint of the 7%. Nice soft carbonation. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaltssssssssssssssssss. Mushroooms again on final taste. I'll never buy this again, unless I need a bock and lots of malts, which I always do...crap. How come I cannot find Frankenheim in Edmonton anymore?
