Once upon a time, Weissbier could only be brewed by ducal privilege. Hofbräuhaus enjoyed this exclusive right for nearly 200 years, thus holding a monopoly on Weissbier in Bavaria. But even without a monopoly, Münchner Kindl Weissbier is a really special kind of beer. What could be more pleasurable than quenching your thirst with a deliciously yeasty Weissbier, and savouring the tingling, fizzy sensation in your mouth? With an alcoholic content of around 5.1% volume, it's pure, refreshing enjoyment.

(Sampled 0,5 liter bottle) Cloudy light golden beer with sediment, good head. Lovely spicy and fruity aroma that promises more than the flavour keeps. Dry, mildly spicy. Short aftertaste. Not bad, but there are better Weissbiers around.

Had as Hefe Weizen. Pours a hazy golden with a thick, if not too persistent, ivory head. Crisp, wheaty aroma has hints of fruit and hops. Flavor is quite wheaty and pleasant, with a nice undertone of lemon. Smooth texture has good firmness and fizz. Whatever it is called, prost!

Pours a small 1" thick foamy white cap but doesn't stay around long enough. Has a cloudy golden/orangey appearance. Has mild tropical fruit aromas, wheats and light yeasty notes. More of the tropical fruits for flavours as well as mild banana notes, some yeasty thickness and wheats again. Smooth and slick mouthfeel with a mild prickly sensation. Pretty good and easy to drink beer.

All the requisite flavor for a hefe...banana and bubble gum, with an umdertone of yeasty spiciness. If the body were a bit richer I'd have liked it even more, but it came across a bit thin. OK, though.

Has a nice hazy light golden color and full of cloves and vanilla taste. It reminds me of the great beer I enjoy at Granville Moore's in DC. I quickly scanned my table for moules and frites but did not see any in reach. A delicious beer when I am feeling the temporary curiosity to leave my dark ways.

500ml bottle - cloudy starw color -- smallish white cap for a heffe bu it laces well, Aroma of fruity, spice and sweet hints of bubblegum - primal hefe aroma but restrained .... Flavour is boiler plate hefeweizen - fruity bubble gum tones, spicy, dry, clean, quenching - but all very understated - probably the best commercial German hefe outside of Westy - better than Paulaner, Erdinger by a long shot ...actually quite decent for a commercial hefe and better than many domestic "craft" hefes. A good buy for the money

Single brown bottle from the LCBO. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a big white cap, good retention and lots of lace. Beautiful banana notes from the wheat with hints of spices. Again, starts off softly on the bananas and finishes on the wheat for taste. Quite refreshing overall and a very nice Hefe for those who like them on the banana side of things. Very good looking too.

part of the 2013 LCBO Summer Release. A hazy golden pour with a generous white head. The aroma has notes of clove, banana, and wheat....maybe a little more clove than most. The flavour is slightly sweet, the wheat and spices certainly come through. Very good Hefe

Beer pours a hazed yellow-gold with a 1" white head that lasts. The aroma is wheat, citrus, and spices. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is wheat, spices, yeast and citrus. Quite refreshing. -

pours an excellent cloudy yellow/amber color with minimal head, which dissipates quickly and leaves no lacing. The aroma is very aromatic with grassy/grainy with alot of citrus and yeast and banana esthers. The taste is mild flavor of wheats and malts at first with the hints of citrus rind. Getting some yeasty flavor but its not overpowering the wheat and grain tones. Spice is there but just, its very mild. Very well balanced all around. The mouthfeel is light carbonation, with a crisp and clean taste. A very nice drinkable beer.

It pours a light golden-yellow with a fairly thick white head and some spots of lacing. A sweet aroma of wheat malts, lemons, orange and other citrus notes, banana, vanilla, and light pepper and spice. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of wheat malts, hops, lemon and orange, banana, vanilla, and light pepper and spice. Excellent hefe!
