Complex sake like flavors intermingle with malt sweet notes. Hints of strawberries in the nose and palate. An intriguing mix of sake, malt, and bitter notes in the finish.

Dark red colour with huge white and steady head. Aroma is strong with hints to nuts and cookies. Taste has a lot of caramel and fruits in it. After taste reminds me of cookies, bread and honey.

Pours an appetizing hazy reddish copper with a fairly thick, fine-bubbled, light tan head. Aroma is somewhat malty and a teeny bit fruity, if not strong. Flavor is - hmmmmmm, this is interesting. Not malty, really, rather fruity, quite different from other beers I have tried, not sweet and not bitter, just tasty. Some yeasty hints. Texture is smooth and fizzy, above-average body. An interesting beer.

Pours a hazy orange-ish to amber color with an off white head. In the aroma, salty, sake, and rice. In the taste, sweet rice, malty, almost like a really sweet red ale. Some medicinal taste was present as well. A smooth and medium bodied mouthfeel, with a hint of dry rice malt in the aftertaste. OK, sweet taste, hides the 7%.

Pours a thick opaque rose color with a tinge of orange and no real head to speak of or lacing. The aroma is fragrant, sweet, tart with hints of strawberry, peach, rose, white grape juice, and a very light hint of funk. The taste is sweet strawberry, rose water, peach, and a very light citrus tartness, which is all balanced by an underlying soft bitterness. Very tasty! The mouthfeel is medium to full, almost nectar-like body with medium to low carbonation.

wasn't expecting THAT color :) unique brew, but not one that particularly interested me after all was said and done. tastes like a sake/beer hybrid, and sake is ok, but not something i drink hardly ever. nice light prickly feel, with rice and light sweet fruit.

Foamy pink/white head over a reddish body. Kriek, anyone? Different aroma, some bitterness along with the alcohol. Rich mouthfeel, almost slick. Flavour included the alcohol, the bitterness, sweetness and yet also sour at the finish.

Bizzarre brew, but not unexpected going by everything else this kwerky brewery produces. Pink, reasonable carbonation, slightly sour tastes. Something definately funky, maybe from some kind of unfamaliar yeast, but I do not like it. Somewhat wheat like or "summer ale" like, vaguely skunky. My least fav of the hitichino offerings.

Hmmm. Pours dark pink, no head. Could be I have a bad one, but the aroma id funkified. Little to no carbonation. An attempt I was looking forward to trying, but I'm a bit scared to drink it.

Red rice? So there should not be any surprise this one is red with a big frothy textured reddish tinged white head. Disappears fairly quickly into nothing. No lacing. The nose is phenolic sweetness. And then things go real down hill from there. My first sensation on sipping is medicine. I’m drinking a strong cherry flavored medicine. Not very good. Not sure I can finish this.

This beer is a little funky, but in a good way. Got scared at first because it was super-carbonated and almost overflowed my glass. Reminded me a bit of a saison with some sake qualities. Sour aroma, but has a sweeter taste. Good hop finish at the end too. Cloudy yellow-light amber appearance with a mega-frothy head. Don't know if I would get again for the price, but interesting to try. Wouldn't be bad at all at a Japanese restaurant versus a Kirin or Saporo. Guess it would go well with Sushi.
